Fantastic, friendly, family hotel! Elaine couldn’t be a better host. Catered for all of our needs - an absolute pleasure to deal with. Room was lovely, breakfast was amazing - full English with perfect poached eggs plus full continental if we wanted. Visiting for a family do - a short walk away. A great stay! Highly recommend 😊

Lovely stay at the Springfield. Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Good location with carpark to the rear. Special mention needs to go to Elaine who was incredibly helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Thanks!

Acclaimed Elaine McClean, hostess with the mostest! One of my best single occupancy stay over experiences I’ve ever had in terms of friendliness, immaculate rooms, top notch breakfast and value for money. Stayed two nights for my son’s wedding held nearby and whatever I threw at Elaine she accommodated. Nothing was too much trouble. You cannot fault anything here at all. Room 6 with its en suite whopping tub and its comfy scroll bed with garden views from two windows was my own choice. It was a good one. Free view TV. Plug sockets in abundance. Generous coffee tray. Ah. Bliss. Breakfast. Divine. Never eaten a more perfectly cooked poached egg. And Elaine doesn’t eat eggs! Service table groaning with cereals, dried fruit, fresh fruit, yoghurt. This is a find. Not the hotel per se - but the acclaimed Elaine McClean!! She’s a diamond.

I have stayed at Springfield each visit nearly yearly since 2014. Elaine is the perfect host. Every request is taken care without complain. The rooms are ensuite, clean, comfortable. Breakfast is full of choice. Elaine is very friendly yet respectful of privacy in a judicious fashion. Excellent holiday. Will return soon.

Lovely b +b central Marple. Bed very comfortable,and pillows too, decor to good taste, plenty of hot running water, a good bath is such a treat nowadays as most places only have a shower. Room had kettle,.coffee, tea ,hairdryer, iron, TV . Lovely lounges to rest in with comfortable arm chairs and plenty of books. Elaine lovely , and had such a huge range of breakfast cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, full English or any requests she catered for. Presentation of food excellent. Nothing too much bother for Elaine, she was an excellent host, Great value for money, will definitely return if come back to this area.

Had a lovely stay here. The bed was comfortable, the room warm and inviting, the breakfast delicious. The owner was also very welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel at home. This will be my number 1 choice next time I stay in Marple.

We were visiting Marple for a friends birthday and decided to make a very long weekend out if it - we stayed at the Springfield and we were really happy. The hotel is brilliant. There is a small car park round the back of the hotel. There is a shared TV room with SkyQ and a DVD player. Elaine was very friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. The breakfasts were beautiful with various options including a Full English. There was juice and cereals and fruit and croissants and pastries. Just on the breakfast alone I would recommend this hotel. The room we had was ensuite bath\shower, had a TV and tea\coffee making facilities and a large dressing table and wardrobe. The bed was large and really comfortable. We both had a great nights sleep. While we walked around Marple quite a bit, we also ventured further afield. We travelled via bus into Stockport and there is plenty to do to occupy a day out. We also went to a comedy night in Poynton and a walk through the Roman Lakes. For travel, we used a local taxi company called Lynx and they were brilliant, they always turned up at the requested time. Best to book at least an hour in advance, maybe longer at busy times. I would thoroughly recommend the Springfield and hopefully we will be back.

We stayed here as a group of friends on a golfing weekend. All I can say is all our group thought the hotel brilliant especially at the price we paid. Large rooms all spotlessly clean. The building is traditional not contemporary inside and out but very much in keeping with the area. The host Elaine, was friendly, welcoming, attentive and went over and above to make our stay great. Location good for walkers and golfers and Marple and surrounding areas are stunning. The breakfast was fabulous. Well cooked, quality ingredients, offered as much toast as we could eat. Fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, every imaginable cereal, croissants it was all just so good especially at the price paid. Can't recommend this place enough. A gem.

Such a fabulous host really friendly even helped us out with getting to a wedding we was going to, breakfast was lovely and bedrooms were really beautiful would deffo reccomend and stay again the area is really beautiful thank you so much for the pleasent time we had ❣️
