Palais Riad Lamrani

This is an absolutely stunning Riad. I cannot praise it enough. The courtyard is beautiful and full of trees and plants. The restaurant shares this space and is a wonderful experience to have breakfast, lunch or dinner among the trees and plants. We stayed in room Orientalle and it is just incredible. There is a balcony over the pool and plenty of room to relax. The artwork is also stunning, not just in the room but all over the riad. It is like staying in a museum. There are also many patios to relax in although we could not make full use of them as the weather wasn't great. The real stars of the Riad are the staff. They are simply amazing. Ahmed looked after us so well. Sorted out our transfers and organised a tour of Marrakech, booked a restaurant for is. Would always ask if we were okay was always ready with a tip or helping on what to do or where to go. When he wasn't there Khalid did the same. Khalid is also very friendly and helpful. It was great having them in reception just before you went out. As we had come to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Ahmed had decorated the room with petals and had also arranged a bunch of roses for my wife. He also organised a special vegetarian dinner in the restaurant for us Housekeeping led by Latifa were great and the room was cleaned very well and repeatedly decorated with rose petals. Breakfast is a traditional Moroccan one and is very good. The star is however Oussama, our waiter. He looked after us every day and insisted we try everything and made sure we had a good breakfast. He is a very genuine person and truly wants you to have a good time. When we had dinner at the restaurant one evening he made sure we couldn't eat another crumb. A truly kind and sweet person I cannot praise the Riad and staff enough. It is not the cheapest place but for my wife and I it was worth every penny. The memories we have will last for ever. We will return

This Riad is absolutely the most peaceful beautiful and has the most places to relax hide and enjoy . Little rooms to read a beautiful garden . Beautiful rooms and refreshing pool after a long day in Marrakech. At night is like magic comes out and dinner enjoyed with a glass of wine in the beautiful garden it’s absolutely beautiful. Service is 💯 they can not do more to please you . The servers At the restaurant are so amazing everyone is so kind and always ready to help you. We felt like we could just stayed all weekend inside that road and we would be very happy . We recommend 💯 this Riad if you visit Marrakech. Thank you 🙏 Anna and Michael

A marvellous jewel of a hotel. Brilliantly located and a verirable paradise out of 1001 nights. Sumptuous stylish antique furnishings and artworks throughout , the rooms are elegant and breathtakingly appointed. Traditional morrocan tiling graces the delighful pool and the inner courtyard with its palm trees and banana trees providing a lush oasis of greenery This is the dining room ,particularly romantic in the evening being candlelit. The staff are second to none in their charm, graceousness, friendliness and skill. This maybe one of the most delightful hotels I have ever stayed in. Well done. Truely a magical palace . I hope to return.

Authentic, traditional Moroccan gem in the heart of the Medina Here you encounter a traditional interior with numerous rooms and salons featuring mosaics, tadelakt, plasterwork, and magnificent painted wooden ceiling structures, antique fireplaces, a piano room, and an utterly refreshing, lush green courtyard garden (restaurant) – complemented for hotel guests by an unexpected number of terraces and secluded spots to relax and just enjoy the time in the here and now. I stayed here for the first time with my friend, who had never been to Morocco before, and I can hardly describe what a dreamy place this is. Thanks to the concierges, Ahmed and Khalid, we were not only warmly welcomed, but also supported without exception throughout our stay, receiving exceptionally good advice and guidance. Our room was wonderfully quiet and we slept splendidly, also thanks to the attentive housekeeping by Fatma and Fatiha, led by Latifa. We also enjoyed delicious local dishes such as tagine and pastilla from the kitchen team (thank you Jamal, Othman, Moayma, Youssef, and Raja), as well as an exceptionally generous breakfast every morning. The exemplary service – attentive, competent, patient, and immensely friendly – was above all thanks to Oussama, Yousef, and Walid, who welcomed and pampered us with a smile every morning, noon, and evening. A perfect start to the day, every day! You can truly sense and feel the great atmosphere throughout the entire team, led by personal example by the manager Karim and especially the restaurant manager, ABDELILAH, who actively serve as role models. Arctic in the Restaurants he made sure we did not Lack anything. Thanks to Abdelilah‘s dedicated advice, I received a great deal of support regarding an upcoming trip for over 20 people that I am organizing. We can only warmly recommend this place. We were utterly shocked at checkout to be presented with an additional €16 minibar charge that had never been clearly disclosed to us. We have absolutely no issue paying for minibar items when charges are clearly communicated. The issue here was the complete lack of transparency. We have stayed in hotels all over the world, including many in Morocco, and chargeable minibars always come with a clearly and obviously displayed price list, menu or signage. It is always crystal clear but at Palais Riad Lamrani, we could not find any such indication. During check-in, Ahmed hurriedly showed us around the room and specifically pointed out the minibar, saying only, "This is the minibar," before moving on. He never mentioned that the items carried additional charges. Ironically, if the minibar had not even been pointed out to us, we likely would not have touched anything inside it. When we raised this issue at checkout, what was most disappointing was not the €16 charge itself but the way it was handled. Instead of listening to our concern or acknowledging that there may have been a communication gap, Ahmed repeatedly argued with us and claimed that because he did not say the word "free," we should have assumed everything was chargeable. That explanation is frankly absurd. Guests should not be expected to guess hotel policies. Transparency should be the hotel's responsibility. He even suggested and continued insisting that both of us must have somehow failed to hear him. This made the entire situation worse and we were so shocked by his attitude. It was an unnecessarily defensive and confrontational response to a reasonable question about a charge that was not clearly communicated. The entire interaction felt extremely unprofessional. A guest raising a concern should not be met with arguments and excuses. Acknowledgement that clearer communication would help future guests would have gone a long way. The entire situation left a particularly bad impression because it felt as though guests were expected to discover these charges only at checkout rather than being informed upfront. Whether intentional or not, that is the impression it created. This is particularly disappointing because Marrakech is known for its hospitality. We have visited the city multiple times and have never encountered anything like this. People often talk about scams in Marrakech, but after five visits, I never expected the first time I felt misled would be by a 5 star hotel. Strangely there was no management on site to speak to. The only saving grace was Khaled, who handled the situation professionally. Unlike Ahmed, he listened to our concerns, acknowledged that clearer communication and signage would be beneficial, and apologised for the experience. A hotel is only as good as its service. The property was beautiful in decor and very well maintained. Excellent location in the heart of the medina/action and yet so tranquil. Staff were amazing…….attentive and very on the ball. Beautiful pool and sun terraces. Would definitely recommend.

I spent some lovely days at Riad Lamrani with my best friend, to celebrate our 65th Anniversary this year. This place is a hidden gem in the medina, a few steps away from the souks, but very quiet and peacefull once you entered the door. The rooftop terrace was also very beautiful, with nice views to the Atlas Mountains. Also the restaurant was very good, with delicous dishes and excellent service. The staff was always very kind and friendly. We also enjoyed a relaxing massage!

It was a wonderful experience. We were able to check in early as the room was available. Breakfast was included and it was in a beautiful mature garden with banana and orange trees (fresh fruit, assorted breads, eggs with style of your choosing and coffee/ freshly squeezed orange juice). Youssef was absolutely amazing! He was always helpful with anything we needed. We also ate dinner there. Room was spacious with local art and furniture. Amazing rooftop terrace. Transport to and from airport arranged by the Riad was easy.

A unique place to stay. An oasis of calm. The staff were fabulous and were always around to make our stay special. The restaurant is also excellent, serving Local cuisine in the middle of the Riad. We stayed in 2 different suites Harem and Sultan both on the ground floor both excellent. There is so many different terraces with sunbeds you will always find a quiet place.
