Riad Manissa

Great for a short stay in the Medina Riad Manissa was pretty much the perfect choice for our stay in Marrakech. We had about 3 nights, and wanted to be in the medina. The Riad is on a quiet lane in the medina, but near by to everything you want to see or go to. The price point for a double room (1 queen bed) is good, and the service from all staff is great. From an amenity standpoint, they have a dip pool, a terrace, a breakfast area, and a small couch to sit on. We ate breakfast once, and that was it as we spent most of our time out visiting places and enjoying outside restaurants. For people who need assistance, I would request a first floor room. I didn't know they had them before I checked it.

We stayed at Riad Manissa for two nights and everything was just perfect ! The Riad is beautifully decorated and staff are friendly and helpful !There’s a lovely rooftop where you can relax in the evening before heading out in the town and location is perfect 10/10

This riad is less beautiful than it is presented. If you book through a travel agency, keep in mind that the rooms are of different sizes. Unfortunately, we had the 12 m2 room without a window and only on the second last day we were able to move to another room. Other guests did get a another room anyway. There are no bathrobes and slippers, as some travel agencies report. The care is good, but not special. We stayed in hotels in various places around the world. Riad Manissa was not worth the money.

Fantastic location minutes walk away from the busy Marrakesh souks. We were greeted with a refreshing mint tea and allowed to relax whilst our bags were taken to our rooms for us. Sitting in the central courtyard it’s hard to believe that just minutes away there is a manic humdrum of the local souk. The room was incredible, so so clean. It was spotless and so comfortable, it was a joy to to just sit on the sofa after a refreshing shower and just chill out in the peace and quiet. The staff are incredible, they couldn’t do enough for us, sharing a mint tea, organising tours, airport pick up and drop off. Advice was given about routes around Marrakesh, places to visit and restaurants to dine in. The staff really make this Riad a great place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious, a great start to the day, all prepared on site and all local produce. Dounia and Yousif and their team will certainly make your stay one to remember. We will certainly be going to see them all again. A truly authentic Moroccan adventure.

We were very happy about our stay in Riad Manissa. The people were helpful and we received excellent service. Breakfast was good and traditional maroccon. The location was great and it was easy to go to the Mail square. We will absolutely recommend to stay here!

The location is great, walking distance to pretty much all of the main attractions in the Medina. However, getting there by taxi cab be a problem, so you should either walk or take a tuktuk. In addition, I'm not sure the riad is trying to save on electricity bills but then basically never turned on their lights, which is both a tripping hazard because you just can't see where you are stepping, but also fails to make the place feel cozy. It was also very cold indoors. There weren't any activities at the riad either, which is a pity. The night staff was great and always helpful and willing to help, but it shocked me that I had to go out in the middle of the night to buy water because they just didn't have any (to sell), which confirmed my suspicion that they used tap water for the tea and the (instant) coffee (which is also a health risk for guests who are not used to it and could well get sick), as I could hear them in the kitchen preparing it. On that note, what's with the butter rationing? They wouldn't serve you butter unless you asked for it... It's also important to mention that the bathrooms only have a saloon door, so no privacy (I had to use the shared bathroom on the first floor, which is the only one that has a door). Overall, not a bad place but lacking in consistency and management seems to have lost interest to make it appealing.
