La Porte de la Mauricie
"Booked for an overnight stay on way further our trip. Overall satisfactory with place. It was clean and no bugs. Bedsheets and linen was very good. They provided mini fridge and coffee complementary in the room. One downside I can say is washroom was a bit too small. This hotel is adjacent to their own restaurant so it’s convenient if you want to eat out just 2 minute walk from your room."
Auberge du Lac-à-l'Eau-Claire
"This hotel is loosing its shine. Needs to be brought up to date. Check your bill at dining room. They are charging mandatory 13% service fee at dining room (apparently because Europeans do not tip and they need to make up for it...) + 2% administration fee at dining room to support management functions of the hotel. And they charge federal and provincial taxes over the latter (tip and admin fee). I asked the employee and the maître D and they did confirm that this is the way it was and that it was legal. You don't see it easily as their final bill (presented at reception upon departure) is not detailed. Not sure it is legal to charge taxes on tip and admin fee. The employee pays income tax on this amount and we pay tax as well?! Government does not double tax a revenue...not supposed to at least. Accountant checking on it. Other nice hotel I went to 3 weeks ago neither charged mandatory tip nor admin fee and the federal and provincial taxes were not applied to it. The service personnel explained the tipping practices and laws here in Quebec to the European customers. Furthermore the final bill (including room and meals ) was very detailed and it was easy to figure out. It was my third visit at this hotel and it will be my last."

Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature
"The decor was fabulous, the service very friendly and the food excellent. Even though we were gluten free, we ate VERY well. A memorable weekend."
Domaine Riviere Sacacomie
"We booked this B&B as part of a tour of Quebec. The welcome, the tours, and the explanations from the owners were very warm and friendly. We immediately felt at home. The garden is beautifully landscaped with a natural feel, featuring many flowers, trees, and shrubs. A natural stream meanders through the grounds, further enhancing the entire ambiance – simply gorgeous. The rooms inside the house are wonderfully decorated and tastefully furnished. The rooms were very clean, a good size, and also very attractively decorated. We were truly impressed by how the owners have designed this house. This was beautifully reflected in the breakfast room. It was a lovely moment when the owner brought the delicious and lovingly prepared breakfast to the table. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We can only give a truly positive and very satisfied review."
