We have just come back from a week at canary garden club and i wanted to add a review as I booked based on the reviews, swayed by the ones about the food and these are not as accurate as you would want I'll start with pros - -The coffee is decent, not amazing but its decent. - The bugalows give you a nice amount of privacy and your own space to sunbathe, ours got sun pretty much all day. - The staff are friendly - visually its nice, the grounds are well looked after. - the free shuttle bus is useful to take you to the beach but it is small. - If you like cats and birds this is a nice spots, there was always a cat lounging in the shade and there are parakeets and Kestrels flying about. The cons - - I'll start with how small the shuttle bus is, its a mini- bus which is fine but if you have accesability issues or need leg space this is non existent. -The reviews praise the hotel for accessibility, which overall it is fine but the surprise for us was when entering the pool. It looks like a nice walk in but its a big drop from the edge to the next step and then the bottom step is huge again. It's quite jarring. - If you need to us the curtesy shower this is also down a set of stairs, no lift with only a small stool to sit on while getting ready. - It's quiet. No music round the pool, no atmosphere. We booked thinking we wanted chilled out but this felt almost oppressive. The main noise is from the birds. The chatter round the pool is minamal so it feels even quieter, i think alot of people stay at their bungalows so it makes it quiter. We did this and put some music on from the tv. - The entertainment - now this i'm not putting as a con as i didn't go to it, we could hear about an hour a night of a singer? - the con for me is that we might have gone if there was any info anywhere about what was on. There is space for a noticeboard to tell you about it but instead nothing. - Cleanliness. The rooms are tidy and i would say at a base level ' clean' but we had a hair in our hand soap all week that was never sorted. It was obvious most days the cleaner had been but not really cleaned. - The food. I am a vegetarian and i really need people to know, this place is not for us. The Vegetarian section at dinner is bigged up but it is 4 dishes that do not even make a meal. The labeling is very bad so if you look elsewhere you are guessing. It might say ' diced potatos' but its got meat in it.Out of the week i had two meals that were actually nice. Lunch is the hardest to deal with as you order it, they will alter the meals for you but i asked for things like the mixed salad but got it with fish etc so it makes it really hard to get a good meal. Oh and it is bland. No salt in it, i had garlic once in the week and on my last morning i found a pastry with mould. And just to be clear, my mum eats meat and also found everything bland, dry and hard to eat. So please do not take all the food comments as standard. I think if you were self catering and able to go
