"The appartments are way off from the hotel. Maybee 1-2 Miles.. why par for the Beach accessability when u need to drive there? The appartment has only one bathroom, not 2. No wahing mashine. No pool. No externa lights. No reading lamps in bedroom. The paint is peeling off, poor build quility and dangerous appliances."

Fragiskos Hotel

"Friendly and clean hotel. We were initially booked in at another hotel, but when we got there we were extremely disappointed. So we went looking for another hotel and came upon Fragiskos Hotel. The staff were friendly and understanding. They showed us to a room, which was very big and had a nice balcony. We took the room for the week. We had a lovely time there. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice. All the staff made it their job to accommodate your needs. And a stones through from the beach. Great location. Harris the manager was very personable and jovial. I would highly recommend this hotel."

Elea Terra Hotel

"I do not recommend a holiday at the Elea Terra hotel in Crete with TUI. The stay was quite disappointing. First of all – there were no optional excursions organized from the hotel. TUI offers no on-site activities and wasn’t even able to assist with arranging anything. We also tried to get help finding a car rental, but that was a complete failure – TUI staff were clueless and unhelpful, as if they had just arrived themselves. As for the hotel itself – the standard is very basic. There isn’t even an electric kettle in the room, which is quite ridiculous these days. You can ask for hot water at the bar, but no one wants to spend their holiday running back and forth with a mug every time they want tea. In summary – this offer is definitely not worth the money, and TUI showed a total lack of engagement and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting even a minimum level of comfort and support from the travel company."

"First time in Crete and we had a blast at this hotel :) Pros- 1. Wide selection of delicious Cretan food served at breakfast & dinner buffet 2. Friendly, smiling & accomodating hotel staff 3. Well decorated exterior- especially the garden & pool, really enjoyed taking photos 4. The staff will just let you leave your bags if your transfer is late in the night and you needed to check out already. They even will let you use the pool and the public toilet & shower Cons- 1. No wifi connection in the room 2. No toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste- so remember to bring some with you 3. No coffee & tea- but there’s kettle if you buy your own coffee & tea 4. Ac- broke down during our last night Overall, I can recommend this hotel for people who are flexible to the cons and not get easily disappointed, and must have a positive outlook like us :) I am writing here just for a full & honest review to help others out there who wants to know more 🫶🏻 Hope this review helps! ❤️"

"Excellent place with a friendly and very helpful host. The kitchen is clean, well-equipped, and there’s plenty of space throughout the hostel. I especially enjoyed the pool. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The only thing I missed was a bit more social atmosphere, but it’s still early in the season. Matala is a lovely location, and this hostel offers great value, especially when booking on their website."
