Best Hotels in Mataro, Spain

We were looking for a hotel out of the City bustle but with good Metro links. We were checked in by a very surly membe of the Reception team and had no further contact with Reception until we checked out 5 days later. Large, comfortable rooms although very limited wardrobe and drawer space. We upgraded to a Marina view room which gave us superb views day and night - also a lovely balcony for enjoying a picnic lunch and evening drinks. The bathroom was huge although the lighting not the best. Breakfast was well organised with tables available outside and inside. A couple of mornings we think they had recruited some agency staff to check guest's room numbers as they arrived. Unfortunately they were dressed in their black agency uniforms clutching a clipboard and looked more like maintenance staff or security guards - not acceptable in a 4 star hotel. The Metro station is opposite the hotel and just a 5 minute walk without luggage but around 10 minutes if you don't wish to use the stair way underpass.

Les points positifs : très bien situé par rapport au centre-ville, parking public (payant) à proximité, chambre spacieuse. Les points négatifs : chambre en mauvais état pour un 4 étoiles : plafond et murs fissurés, parquet très marqué, odeur de tabac froid, poignée de la fenêtre cassée, joints de salle de bains moisis....

Decently sized rooms - very comfortable beds. Staff were kind and helpful. Excellent location and very near to a supermarket. Would definitely stay there again! Parking is also free off premises, so you don't necessarily need to pay.

Just want to put it out there about the amazing Hotel Sorli Emocions set in the outskirts of Barcelona. My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel whilst attending the Spanish Grand Prix. The hotel is located about 35 minutes from the track, with a caveat depending on traffic, which increases significantly depending on the time you leave the hotel to go to the track. The hotel is very contemporary in its design only 2 floors, rooms are spacious and well appointed, depending on what side of the hotel you are, some have Mountain View’s others sea views, on the first floor there is a large sun terrace and a swimming pool for cooling off. The hotel is built above a very nice large classy shop, a sort of mini John Lewis, lots of things to spend your money on. It also has a really great restaurant as part of the shop, with both dining inside and outside. The food is delicious, with an excellent choice of regional dishes, it has its on delicatessen where Jamon and charcuterie and cheese are prepared fresh to order for the restaurant. They also offer a variety of delicious desserts, you won’t go hungry. Breakfast is served off the reception in a comfortable dining area, it’s a truly continental breakfast, excellent choices of cheese and meats, fresh bread, fruit and pastries and excellent coffee. The staff at this hotel are extremely accommodating, especially Miriam, Alfons and David who cover the reception nothing was to much trouble, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast team were also very accommodating. I would also say the stars in the restaurant were Agnes and Ismael, quality service nothing was too much trouble. If we attend the Grand Prix again we would definitely stay at this hotel. A car is definitely required for getting around as the hotel is in a very nice residential area, the Barcelona airport is roughly 35 to 40 minutes. Great stay enjoyed every minute.

The hotel was very friendly and helpful, and the staff were always ready to help us at any time. In general, my husband and I strongly recommend this gastronomic escape package to any couple who seek a unique and relaxing cuisine experience near Barcelona.

Been there with my wife last weekend and the room we had was spacious, a nice bed and a gorgeous little terrace. All accommodations were there(cable,internet,air-conditioning) and the place is right at the beach and close to the nice old centre of Premià. We enjoyed it very much and will certainly return!

We love Arenys de Mar and usually opt for an apartment stay. We wanted to relax before our son's wedding so chose Vila Arenys. The staff are extremely helpful. My husband needed his waistcoat tailored and Maria insisted in coming with us to help with the communication with the sastre. Room was really comfortable and we slept well. Location was very central and easy to get to from the station. The Chocolat is amazing and the coffee is the best for miles around. Arrived as travellers and left as friends.
