Villa Kiva Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"The hospitality of the hotel is amazing. They provided me everything I need, I had to catch a midnight flight and they even prepare me boxes of food just because I had breakfast included in my package. The vibe here is very chill. Highly recommended to have a stay here. Cons: food in general is abit salty. And choice is less"
Zanoceanique Luxury Hotel ★★
Kena Beach Hotel ★★★★
"Kena beach hotel is excellent, The staff is very friendly and professional The rooms are very clean I also enjoyed the faod and their fresh fruits I can’t forget that they surprised me with a birthday cake on my birthday I will definitely go back The seven days I stayed there were awesome"
Boutique Villa Unaweza ★★★★
"Over the past year, I’ve had the chance to visit many resorts in Zanzibar, and Villa Unavewaze truly stands out. The atmosphere is peaceful and beautifully designed, offering a cozy and intimate escape. The staff are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was another highlight – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a relaxing break, this place is a perfect choice. Thank you for a wonderful stay – I will definitely be back!"
Salama & Mbuyuni Bungalows ★★★
"Finding accommodation that ticks all the boxes in an unfamiliar country is often a challenge… but here, everything was simply perfect. After our many trips and stays around the world, Salama & Mbuyuni stands out as a true gem. From the moment you arrive, the welcome is warm, genuine, and attentive. The beautifully landscaped garden offers a verdant oasis, perfect for recharging. The accommodations are charming, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Every morning, breakfast is generous and delicious, served with a smile. The three swimming pools, the bar, and its chill-out areas invite relaxation, all within a friendly and refined atmosphere. But what makes the experience truly unique is the team. All the staff members are remarkably kind, always available, and smiling. Paco and Maria oversee everything with passion and care—you can feel their love for what they do, and it shines through in every detail. Even the musical and dance evenings (something Paco could improve? :-)) are on offer, for those who like to keep the fun going. Close your eyes to book… but open them wide once you're there: you'll be charmed."
Zanzibar Pearl - Boutique Hotel & Villas ★★★★
"We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The staff is friendly and attentive. The room was clean and spacious and the food tasted amazing. Everyone went above any beyond to ensure we had a relaxing and memorable stay, including setting up a private dinner to help us celebrate. We 100% recommend!"
Zanzibar Bahari Villas ★★★★
"This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We booked our stay ten months in advance and paid in full eight months before our arrival, yet it was nothing short of a disaster from the moment we arrived. Upon arrival, the manager failed to greet us properly. Instead, we were directed to sit on the sofas in the reception area without any explanation. It wasn’t until 1.5 hours later that we learned—from other guests in the same situation, not the staff—that our room had been overbooked. We were then shuttled to a half-finished hotel that didn’t come close to the standards of the hotel we had originally booked. We were assured this was a temporary arrangement and that we’d be moved to a villa near the booked hotel the next day. However, the following day we were taken to yet another substandard, half-finished building. This one had two small rooms with beds, an empty fridge, and little else. It felt as though the staff from the downstairs restaurant had been hastily evicted to make space for us. The building was infested with flies, lacked basic amenities like drinking water, towels, air conditioning, toilet paper, and WiFi, and appeared incomplete. The shower didn’t work, and there was even a man sleeping in the backyard. Worse still, it wasn’t anywhere near the hotel we had booked. Compensation wasn’t offered until we explicitly asked for it, and even then, all we received was free food for two days at the hotel. The service at the restaurant was slow, and our orders were frequently wrong. The food itself was mediocre at best. That said, the restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming, which was one of the few positives. When we finally got our room, there were no twin rooms available, so we had to settle for a double bed. While this was fine, the entire experience left a sour taste. The pool area was lovely, and the other guests were pleasant, but these were small comforts in an otherwise dreadful stay. This hotel has great potential, but based on our experience, it’s far from meeting even basic standards. I would not recommend it."
Marafiki Beach Hotel & Spa ★★★
"I stayed here recently during a visit to Zanzibar. What can I say .......... the location is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and airy, the food is lovely, the staff are friendly and the spa treatments are top class. The pool is perfect when the tide is too far out to swim in the sea. The sand is white and the loungers are comfortable. "
Zanoceanique Hotel ★★★
"We had an amazing stay at Zanoceanique Hotel. The hotel is 30 m from the beach, surrounded by garden, good swimming pool, free strong WiFi in garden area, restaurant and in our room. Very nice people, caring and friendly. Thanks to Stella and Salma for attention and caring in all time we stayed at Zanoceanique Hotel."
