Alpico Plaza Hotel Reviews

Notes: Location is great, next to train station. Castle & Museum are all within walking distance. We booked a Deluxe Twin Room, 38 Sq m, a very big room in Japanese standard. However, the room feels like rarely used with a mildewy smell. Cleanliness is mediocre.

Clean and very good location : 5 minutes walk to Matsumoto Station and next to Alpico Plaza where you can shop for souvenirs/ get food at the supermarket). The reception is on the 2nd front, very adorable and can speak communicable English. In front of the reception, you can also find the amenities bar where you can help yourself (a little bit shame there is no cotton pad :( or there was out of them during my stay) The check-in and check-out are processed via machine like many other hotels, it only requires filling your name and scanningyour passport. The accommodation tax is also paid via the machine and cards are accepted. Me and my friends stayed here for two nights, an overall pleasant stay ☺️

Excellent location beside bus station. Happy with the huge single bed. Room is clean. Happy with stay. Didn’t give full for amenities coz didn’t use any.

Standard business hotel. It’s clean and simple. However, it looks and smells old. The hallway has a musty smell and the hotel bathroom smells of wet clothes that didn’t dry well. Front desk service is excellent as they went as far as calling my next hotel to help arrange for luggage delivery (usually front desk just accepts without questions). In addition, they speak decent English. The hotel also provides free shuttle to an offsite onsen although I didn’t have a chance to make use of it.

Great location!! Close to train station and bus terminal is just next door. There are many restaurants and supermarket around the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Right across from Matsumoto Station and next to the bus terminal, it's super convenient for catching a bus to Hirayu Onsen the next day. There's a Matsumoto Kiyoshi and Koyo-sanjo in the nearby mall. It's a great spot for a one-night stopover. The room is pretty standard and on the small side, as is the bathroom, and there's no large public bath.

Very strategic location, can get to Station in less than 10minutes. Reception staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Lin. He was attentive enough to explain about Luggage delivery service when asked. Will highly recommend this place for anyone who's coming to Matsumoto.

A convenient location for arrival by bus or train. A supermarket is across the street. Breakfast is good with a variety of Japaneses and western selection.

Despite being an older building, this hotel in Matsumoto was in absolutely pristine condition. The room was comfortably furnished with two chairs and a small table, providing a nice spot to relax. The bathroom featured the standard, compact design typical of Japanese business hotels, but everything was spotless and functional. Overall, a very clean, well-kept, and comfortable stay!

The hotel's location is excellent. After exiting Matsumoto Station, I spotted the bus stop sign across the road. I walked to that bus building, then crossed another street, and it was less than twenty meters away – I was there. Staying here was primarily convenient for visiting Kamikochi. I arrived early at noon, and the Chinese-speaking guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. He helped me combine my two original rooms into one, effectively upgrading my room for a later date. When I returned to check in that evening, the same guy from the afternoon was at the front desk. He thoughtfully informed me not to worry about staying on the 11th floor, even though there had been an earthquake reported in Nagano that afternoon. He assured me that Matsumoto was not the epicenter and that I could relax. Matsumoto Art Museum and Matsumoto Castle are both within a fifteen-minute walk from the hotel. There are also several lively small streets nearby, perfect for those who love to explore and enjoy local food and shopping. Although it was my first visit, I had a great impression. I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.

Superb location as the hotel is just next to JR station with a big supermarket nearby. The downside is it doesn’t have its own spa. Travel to 翔峰 to enjoy spa is possible but time consuming.

The hotel is really convenient. Close to train station, bus station and Alpico plaza. And there were so many amenities like facial wash, toner, cream and etc. But as a solo traveler I want a quiet place to rest but hotel room wall is so thin that I can hear the noise outside! And the pillow is weird, It’s not comfortable to sleep. Overall it’s a good place to stay
