I used it for a family trip during the spring break. There is a charge because I came by car, but I was able to park in the parking lot and go sightseeing at Matsumoto Castle and Matsumoto Station. It's a good walk course. The parking lot and the front desk 々 were all kind. The room was newly renewed so it was very clean and I was grateful that almost all the equipment I needed was available. The breakfast at Gust was delicious. I would like to stay when I visit Nagano Prefecture from now on

About 5 minutes walk from the station. Matsumoto at this time has a high accommodation fee. At the time of booking, I used a 2K coupon for 14K on a certain cat site. After that, the price fell to about 12K and it was about the same as the non-application of the coupon, but it was unlikely to fall any further, so I left it with an early reservation. There is a suspicion of double price. Is it a good example to be careful when booking coupon distribution time? Since it is a Dormy Inn, the level of breakfast is high. Soba is a type that you order and make. Since it is located in the center of Matsumoto, you don't have to worry about eating out or convenience stores. Also, I think the point is that the large communal bath is a hot spring. It is a weak alkaline spring, but it seems to be a source of market price.

The staff and service were very appreciated. We forget some stuff in the room and the hotel staff tried so hard to find it and gave us back despite we already check out. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was very close to the train station with a few minutes walk. We really appreciated our stay and will visit again for sure. 😊

I chose this hotel in front of the station for the next day to use a car rental. It is a hotel of the Alpico Transportation Group. The receptionist is on the 2 floor. Check-in requires a machine hand input by yourself, and all payments, card keys and breakfast tickets are out of the machine. So payment is prepaid. It depends on the way of thinking whether it is troublesome or convenient. 1 person 8000 yen with breakfast. There was Wi-Fi, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and there was no particular dissatisfaction. There are also restaurants and taverns in front of the station for dinner, so there is no worry.

This hotel was booked as part of tour of Japan and we were there for only 1 night. As a solo traveller I was allocated a single room which was very small. It did however have a large bed which based on the space available was probably too big for the room. In order to get my case open to just get a small number of items I needed for one night I had to rearrange the chair and table so I could get the case open. The “closet” if you can call it that, was so small it only had 3 hangers and was probably only about 18inches wide right next to the door. I wouldn’t want to stay in this room more than one night. On the basis you pay a single supplement I find it poor that we solo travellers are given such small and inadequate rooms. In addition, as a tour from the UK, hardly anyone spoke English so it was hard to get the staff to understand when something went wrong, like my kettle which wasn’t working. In credit to the Reception staff, once I finally managed to get him to understand the problem he resolved it very quickly. Finally when we went to breakfast at 7.45am they were already full and we had to wait about 10 mins or so, then a number of the breakfast items had run out. There were 2 coach tours in and they didn’t seem to be able to cope or cater for the amount of people there. I did find the staff very friendly and helpful, so it certainly isn’t their fault. I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travellers.

~7min walk from Matsumoto station with many food options nearby, on usual days.
We went on 31 Dec to 1 Jan and the streets were empty; shops were 99% closed, except for Parco / big malls.
Hotel staffs were super helpful and friendly. I loved the shoe locker concept at the main entrance of the hotel; you lock your shoes and go barefooted around the hotel. Hotel staff assisted to check on available restaurant opening hours, as well as reservation on 31 Dec since we weren't sure if places were open.
Onsen (both indoor and outdoor) was the best, coupled with complimentary laundry facility (dryer at 100yen). Shampoo and body wash were all available for use.
There are vending machines at the common area outside the bathroom. Complimentary ramen at night (do check with the hotel on the timing). Soba over new year's countdown at midnight was yummy.
Wonderful overall experience. Will explore Onyado in other cities in future!

I walked from Kita Matsumoto Station to the hotel. 7 minutes? It is a walk arrival. The woman at the front desk had a smile and there was no unpleasant impression. The room was a room with Matsumoto Jo castle on the top floor. Especially at night Matsumoto Jo castle was the best and clean. The room size is a bit small, but I think it is reasonable to think of the price. The public bath is the feeling that it is said to be a small bath. 5 people are full if they enter. Moreover, there was no corona countermeasure at all. It is a breakfast restaurant, but it uses tong in the form of Viking, but the corona countermeasure is halfway and it is not possible. Use of disposable gloves for decadac and finger disinfection at the entrance properly. I didn't use several sets of disposable gloves. The employee doesn't know the face. In addition, there are couples who do not have a mask and are surprised. I think it is better to use care on the hygiene side because it is such a time. Dinner was surprisingly close to Matsumoto station.

We wanted to treat ourselves for an anniversary so booked in for a night. It is not cheap - we paid SGD 770 for the night, but it was a good experience all the way from check in to check out. The price includes dinner, which was plated beautifully and featured items like lobster sashimi, beef stew and bracken tempura. Breakfast was done buffet style and had both Japanese and Weatern dishes. There are onsens as well. We opted to pay 3000 yen for a private couple onsen for 45 minutes, but there are also public baths on the 4th floor. The bath on the 3rd floor, just off reception, switches between males in the morning and the ladies in the evening. The room was largish and I loved that the yukatas came in a variety of sizes. There is no room clean up till check out, but they do lay futon beds in the room. The room was well appointed and had a great view, small fridge, a safe, and coffee and tea making facilities. There was even a coffee bean grinder. There were ample power points. Wifi was okay though it did drop now and then. There are separate toilet and shower rooms. There is a souvenir cum general store in the lobby where you can even buy condensed milk ice cream. Staff are friendly and efficient. They do have a free shuttle bus from 5 pm at the Matsumoto train station to the hotel, and one the following morning at 9 am and 10 am back to the station.
Convenient location that's just a short drive from Shiojiri-kita Interchange!

2 I stayed for the first time in a year. The room is kept clean and I like it. I was a little worried that the man at the front desk at check-in was a little unfriendly, but there was no problem other than that. Perhaps it was a corona wreck, restricting admission to the large communal bath, only 3 lockers were available, but when I went there was no one and it was reserved. The hot water was a little hot, and I was able to warm my body in the cold waves. The air conditioner in the guest room was a little bad and it took a while to warm up. Breakfast was over 8, but there were some side dishes. I thought it was suitable for free breakfast and the low accommodation fee. By the way, the signboard light at the top of the building is off, so if you are using it for the first time, you need to be careful.

Outstanding
GGuest UserVery relaxed and remodeled from the ancient house design backpacker inn, public spaces and rooms are clean and comfortable, very friendly to long-term travelers, with washing machines, outdoor clothes drying space and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking needs. Very recommended backpackers, about 13 minutes walk from the station, but the walk is flat and visited by many small shops. Very recommended.
SSandraThe owners are so warm and welcoming. The location from the bus stop was around 10-15 mins walk, and in the morning the owner offered to drive us there to save time.
They have a super kawaii pet snd the owner made sure that we’re comfortable with pet before letting it play outside. Lovely breakfast
GGuest UserThe staff, service, facilities, and room were top notch. Once our stay was booked, we received an email questionnaire. We are both vegan and they accommodated our preference. asking for our preferences. You can select between Japanese and French cuisine. We both opted for Japanese. When we arrived, they staff greeted us kindly and it was a delightful surprise to be led into a room filled with Christmas decorations. We booked the ”Standard Zen Suite” and were not disappointed. It comes with your own private indoor-outdoor onsen. It was heaven. If you are new to onsen, they also provide helpful instructions upon arrival that you can read. It was my absolute favorite onsen experience. There are three different onsens for guests, each separated by gender. They also provide popsicles, hot/cold tea, in addition to the standard shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair tonic, skin lotion etc. When we were there they had two shuttles which ran from Matsumoto Station to pick you up. One at 3:15 pm and another at 4:30 pm. We would both love to return!
GGuest UserThe whole building was a clean and old inn. I especially liked the whole building classical music, so I felt very calm. The room was not old and clean, but there was a place where the wallpaper of the toilet was peeled off, so it was a pity there. But I was able to spend comfortably. Is it a corona virus countermeasure that surprised me? A large bag dedicated to putting clothes. I felt that this was not a plastic bag, but a disposable or money. Moreover, there are ordinary slippers, disposable slippers, and there are vinyl bags that put slippers. You can go to the lobby by elevator, but it is a pity that the public bath is a staircase underground. I thought it would be nice to have an elevator to the basement if it was a hotel of this scale or an escalator. The rest place has a sense of calmness, and you can sleep next to it even if you wait for the side. The public bath can be a drinking spring and the hot water in the shower is safe in the position where the hot water in the shower does not enter the bathtub. You can also sleep. Sulfur smell is lined up. The temperature is slightly hot from the suitable temperature. The open-air bath is different from the inner bath, and it is slightly wet, and the sulfur smell is hardly felt. The open-air bath is heated, but I think it is not very valuable if it is heated to this degree of sulfur smell. There is also a sulfur smell and a low temperature inn. If you lower the temperature to ~ 34 degrees, I think the value of this source will rise. However, because it may be troublesome in winter, I thought it would be good to reverse the source of inner hot water and open-air bath. Is it suitable for the price with dinner breakfast? It was more delicious than usual, but there was no dishes that were particularly memorable. Oh, the meat was delicious. I think the staff is a good person. I would like to come again if the open-air bath changes.
MmrivermVery convenient location, close to Matsumoto station and bus terminal. The hotel size is not big, the breakfast venue is also compact and I thought it was just good for this time. The corona countermeasure was also tight, and the response of the front desk 々 was very pleasant. Wi-Fi was also connected, and the dryer was also ready separately from the equipment. The cleaning is clean and you can spend comfortably overall. However, there was no outlet on the pillow Only the fact that the TV remote control did not respond well was a little troublesome (it seems that there is an extension code loan).
AAYAKA-BUNMatsumoto City is not big, the hotel is very close to Matsumoto Castle, you can see it in the room, and it is 15 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station. There is free coffee and hot water on the first floor of the hotel, which is great for Chinese people who can't drink ice water. I have had a breakfast at the hotel, I have to pay separately, 500 yen a person, it is OK, just buy it at a convenience store. The price of this hotel is very cost effective.
”Shinshu Umaimon Buffet” whose name is dead. The gap with the HP photo is too great. Although it is a complaint that the menu uses local ingredients, the menu felt poor. Not even apple juice in the morning and evening! In addition, Shinshu's specialty pork is very hard, and I would like to see some ingenuity in how to present the dish, such as grilling a mountain of ayu with salt in a warmer that makes you lose your appetite. Breakfast has a poor balance of Japanese and Western menus. The soup for breakfast is only miso soup, no soup. I was surprised by the hard and dry bread.
GGuest UserLast minute I booked a hotel, there weren’t many choices, so I booked it when I saw it was so cheap and had a room. I only book to the old hotel, which is pretty clean and the hot springs are not bad. The location is very close to Kamikochi and Norikura bus stops when driving by car. However, the worst part is that you can’t go out for a picnic in the old hotel, and there are no restaurants nearby. In the end, you have to go out for a picnic with friends. The overall CP value is high but the food is very inconvenient. If I have the chance to stay again, I hope to book a dinner at the new hotel.
GGuest UserNo shower available inside the room, we need to use the hot spring. However, the water was not hot enough! I found two Japanese ladies use both indoor and outdoor hot spring just for few minutes and then left with disappointment.
The food qualities of both dinner and breakfast were not up to the standards of “Onsen” hotels in Japan at this price level I had gone before. Unfortunately this hotel is the only one available for booking on Trip.com near the area of Kamicochi. Will not recommend to anyone.
