What an amazing hotel! The village of Zermatt is quite special, like a Winter Postcard, and the Omnia perched above, yet also right in the middle of it all, is the perfect place to experience it all. From the moment the electric car picked us up at the train station we were hooked. You then drive through the picturesque streets to the entrance of the hotel, located right in the middle of the village. The doors open through the well light and cave like tunnel you go...then you board the elevator up to the top of the world, or so it feels. Above it all, yet able to walk anywhere in under 10 minutes was a dream scenario. The view is amazing, the modern, yet comfortable entrance with library and bar is the perfect greeting. The room we had, a nice double mountain bath, was large and comfortable for European standards. All the soaps, sheets, and towels were excellent. The staff is where the Omnia really sets itself apart. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and quick to respond. Tom at the front desk though really stood out for us. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. The spa was perfect...with a hot tub with amazing views of the Matterhorn. The restaurant was excellent both for dinner and the included breakfast. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when visiting Zermatt.
