Typical Mauritian complex hotel very well arranged and charming which offers many activities and well located to shine in the North of Mauritius. Everything is available to ensure that your stay goes perfectly (assistance, activities, visits, taxi, etc.) Several restaurants available on site (buffet restaurant and restaurants highlighting local gastronomy) included in the price for half board and all in. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and varied and also highlights local cuisine. The staff is attentive and very helpful. For information, ask to book restaurants to be able to taste the different local cuisines (Indian, Mauritian and Chinese).

Weekend at Zilwa attitude hotel We choose the Zilwa for a birthday weekend and opt for its all inclusive options. We were here 3 years ago and came back. We were surprised once again by the great welcome and positive attitudes of the staff. They are always eager to help and friendly. Plenty of food options and we tried all restaurants and tasted so many dishes. They have sandwiches offer all day and the local Taba J can give you the feeling of local street food. The barmen happily prepared all cocktails that we asked. The rooms gives the vibes of holidays and are well maintained. We are a family who really enjoyed our stay at the Zilwa and can without doubt recommend this hotel for wonderful vacations. Great people here : among them Amrish Jhugroo ,a team leader who is always on the line, guiding positively his staff and also Siva Sewgolam, the front office manager and his entire staff.

This hotel is an excellent experience and one that is just really really good. From arrival to departure your needs are always met, with caring staff at every point of your holiday. The hotel itself is pretty cool, the view from the main bar and lobby is breath taking and you will not be able to stop taking photos of it over and over again. The hotel has its own beach which is split into two beaches with sunbeds and umbrellas made from sugarcane and wood. the other part of the beach is where you can access the Watersport part of the hotel. Paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking all at no cost. The food is brilliant, I think I have put on 2 stone from the trip. With a buffet and 4 restaurants you will always find something you like to eat and something you will enjoy. Rooms seem to be fairly basic but have everything you would want from a tropical island room, air con, big fan, big shower and a balcony, and a mini fridge which you can top up from the hotels tuck shop. The hotel has a no plastic bottle theme which is brilliant. Just be aware of Big John, he means well and by all means he doesn't deliver but we went with a local guide/taxi driver and did the same trips but just cheaper. My wife found him on Facebook page of the hotel so I would recommend looking into that. Overall amazing holiday. We enjoyed it so much we will be returning for a family holiday.

Zilwa has been a fantastic holiday and an unforgetable experience. Stunning grounds and views from the three seperate coves within the hotel grounds. First of all I have to mention one staff member in particular Favour. He is at the main bar SiroKann. A true gent who made my wife and I feel so welcome and left us wanting for nothing. He is a real credit to the hotel and please if managment read this he is a true credit to your establishment. The wow factor starts as you enter the complex, you will know what I mean if you come here. Given the location and traffic you will average an hour or so transfer. And the rooms are available from 1400 thats 2pm on arival. We were very lucky and were in our room by 1300 1pm. So I highly recomend having a pair of swim shorts in your hand luggage so you can head straight to the beach or pool. And grab a bottle of sun cream from your luggage before they are taken by the valet. The rooms are lovely, have a simple clean design, beds in our room were comfortable as I prefer a firmer mattress. So sleep was no problem for me. The food also was outstanding each of the resturants (Mauritian, Indian, Thai, lobster beach) were some of the best food I have had. The main buffet was good enough with a nice selection of meats curries and veggies. Not the most selection I've seen from an all inclusive hotel. But the restaurants more than made up for this by a long shot. There is a little food shop (free for all inclusive) that you can stock up your mini fridge daily. The watersports house offers snorkling and glass bottom boat trips, paddleboards hobby Cats for those that know how to sail. And best of all.. The hotel's own cateraman boat trip is 1800 rupies that about 34 British pounds and includes a whole day with lunch provided onboard, snorkling and chilling on a local island. Plenty of Rum and food vibes it's true value for money. Do bring water shoes. Though I didnt see any sea urchins here, they are about as well as coral the volcanic rock can be very sharp. So bear that in mind. Now I will mention that as a lover of the water and snorkling etc yes you can go on trips to see sea life. However, from the beaches here there is nothing to see, the reef here is very shallow and silty sand again hidden sharp things can catch you out. That being said the sand is still lovely and I didnt always wear shoes just trod carefully. But if you want to snorkel go out on the trips. Not from the shore. There are a few locals who walk the beach offering dolphin and turtle trips. We didnt use them however, saw pictures from other guests and you will literally swim with dolphins and trutles in the wild no cages or crulty here. Just fantastic experiences. We paid via the tour operator to go on a big catamaran out west and saw a pod swimming next to the boat which was an unforgetable moment. There is a great shaded kids pool for babies and toddlers to keep out the direct sun which I thought was a nice touch. Food wise I didnt see

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, featuring a balcony, air conditioning, as well as a refrigerator and TV. The culinary offerings were impressive, with both breakfast and the evening buffet providing a diverse and high-quality selection daily. A special highlight was the free rental of SUP boards, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment at the hotel's own beach. We would also like to emphasize the hotel's efforts to avoid plastic, which is a very positive attribute. The staff's attention and responsiveness to customer concerns were also outstanding. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

We went on an in-land trip around mauritus with Big John. He provides very good prices for all activities and gave us the chance to see parts of the island we never would have seen otherwise. Including, a volcano, waterfalls, black river gorges, monkeys, and the chance to drive quad bikes up a mountain with some of the most amazing views. The driver, Rajesh, was also very friendly and gave very in depth commentary about each of the sites. Definitely recommend looking for Big John on the beach at Zilwa Attitude

Great stay .. We loved the food at the Thai restaurant and dinner at Lor Disab. Thank you to Kevin for the great activities and challenges. Manjeet for his excellent customer service. Nasreen for her smiles and always making sure nothing is all her guests are happy. Thank you to the porters who always helped us. The gardens are great and the gardeners very humble persons. The hotel is around 1 20 mins drive from Grand Bay but there are small shops near to the hotel.

We just had an amazing 7 nights at Le Zilwa hotel. Prior to our arrival we dealt with Mr Amrish Jhugroo who patiently helped us with all our queries. He was ever so helpful. Once we arrived at the beautiful hotel, despite the weather not being great at the beginning, we had an amazing time and the welcoming from the staff members was outstanding. A big thank you to the staff members who made our stay special especially to Mr Sachi who works at the restaurant and welcomed us with his big smile everyday & always ready to help. A special shout out to Kush and Kishan at the bar who went out of their way to make sure we were being looked after and comfortable. Jess the hairdresser was very professional and did a great job with my hair and lastly I had a wonderful massage at the spa with Sharmila, I definitely recommend the spa and massage. The food was delicious especially the Thai and Indian restaurant. The room was spacious overlooking the ocean. Overall we had a great stay and definitely recommend this hotel. God willing We will be coming back :)

I do not know where to even start with this amazing hotel. Me and my best friend went to Mauritius in January, after getting off a 13 hour flight we were greeted by the staff at the Zilwa! When we came around that corner and saw that spectacular view, we knew we had chosen the right hotel! The view in itself is just breathtaking. We had a welcome dream and staff told us about the hotel. We couldn’t check into our rooms until afternoon, so we got into our swimwear and decided to get on the beach! There is a shower and so forth to get changed. Zilwa has a la carte and buffet restaurants. We tried them all apart from the Mauritian restaurant! The a la carte need to be booked in advance at the guest experience desk. The karay which is the buffet restaurant is brilliant, the selection is endless and also they have different theme of food every night. The rooms were lovely. We had to move from one room to another due to a leak from all the rain we had. But all the rooms are the same so we didn’t mind. The hotel gave us free massages for the inconvenience which was so lovely. End of our stay we had a late flight and so we were able to pay for a late check out but we did have to move rooms again but we didn’t mind due to then feeling fresh before a long flight home. Spa - myself and my friend both had two massages each at the hotel and they were incredible! The spa was so lovely and calming. Definitely recommend. We booked a sunrise excursion through guest experience desk which was amazing. Local fisherman called Dessie took us out on his boat. The hotel provided us with a picnic basket which they do for every excursion or day out, just have to order it within 24 hours. We booked a sunset boat excursion with Dessie but unfortunately Dessie said that we wouldn’t see a sunset so he didn’t want to waste our time, but he bought a picnic and wine and we sat there speaking to him, amazing man. Big John on the beach comes around and he provides other excursions. We did the half day turtle and dolphin swimming and the inland tour. The weather was really bad for the dolphin swimming in which we didn’t do, big John did give us a little refund on that but we did go swim with the turtles which was absolutely amazing. Another thing we did was hire a car as my friend wanted to go down to the south of the island and ride a horse on the beach. Hiring the car was all was sorted by the hotel and was nice and easy. Zilwa has a private island which can be seen from the beach, they do BBQs there. We tried booking this a few times but because of weather or maintenance we didn’t get to go on until our last day. It was lovely, cute hammocks in the sea. The hotel has so much going on in which we probably didn’t even touch the surface on. Absolutely amazing place, the staff were incredible and just Mauritian life is fantastic. I really couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!
