Nice location and good activities Service and room are so so They do some renovation so we have people sit in front of our door all the time. Shouldn’t sell the room that not completely done

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with so much to do and keep us busy. A highlight was the snorkeling right off the beach in the Blue Bay Marine Reserve. Seeing healthy coral and abundant marine life is rare these days. We saw a turtle, moray eel, squid and many hundreds of fish and importantly, a variety of them. Also a barracuda on the snorkel boat excursion. Snorkeling off the beach is safe and shallow so good also for children. The water skiing at Shandrani is next level. Excellent conditions, brilliant ski instructors (no names, all good) and I got up on a single slalom ski for the first time thanks to their and the boat drivers guidance and patience. Ski and boating equipment here is good and many guests were first timers, learning to water ski on their holiday. The friendly camaraderie at the boathouse made for further enjoyment. The kayaking was fun especially when I docked on the beach to get a soft drink from the passing bar service to enjoy on the rest of my paddle. What a life! The All Inclusive is a great concept and at no stage did one feel short changed. The food was excellent in particular at Sirius - amazing salads, fresh grouper and snapper dishes, wonderful marlin baguette and desserts. Teak Elephant provided a romantic, delicious set menu Thai dinner. We did not get a spot at Ephemera which we would have loved to try. The wine and cocktail lists are generous and one really does not need to pay a supplement for something better. The Beachcomber branded wines come from one of the best Constantia wineries in South Africa and of the highest calibre. The Grand Port buffet restaurant serves wonderful pancakes at breakfast – we were quickly addicted. Excellent pizza sliced into 8 pieces at lunch and dinner is also a constant. The pizza base is incredible (just like all bread and pastry baking at Beachcomber, they get it right every time). An observation is that there was never enough fruit at breakfast and never enough pizza at lunch. No sooner was it put out and it was gone. So management may want to double up on a fruit preparer, and a pizza maker, a “pizzaiolo” to meet the high demand. Finding the right plate was sometimes a challenge especially a cereal bowl. These need to be closer to the cereals. The coffee machine gives good coffee, worth queuing for. We enjoyed the spa and the fantastic massage a deux that came as a complimentary activity on our honeymoon/wedding anniversary package. Nisha and Malini were very professional and we thoroughly enjoyed spending an afternoon at this haven of tranquility. The spa pool area is Asian tranquility and treatments take place in beautifully designed thatched roof pavilions. The gardens and birdlife are stunning and the various beaches one can choose from ensure that you’re not over crowded. One is particularly quiet facing the wild ocean - a most relaxing place to be. Beachcomber Shandrani is such a friendly resort in the lagoon in the South East of Mauritius in Blue Bay. The staff are amazing, from Sheila who looked after the room. the Grand Port restaurant staff Sanjiv and Juliano have been there years and still remember guests. The Blue Bay bar was been moved and it’s in a cosier place but again the staff are attentive and polite- special mentions to Singio, Nandinee and Privan at Sirius. Extra Special mention has to go to the Boat House crew. Laurent leads an amazing group who want customers to enjoy, learn and most importantly be safe. Bertie, JoJo, Jacques, Markelly, Oliver, Davide, Vincent and Ashvin have endless patience to teach water sports. Captain Jean Francoise on the glass bottomed boat is such a happy man. Even the staff at the pool- Kavi, Kristnee, Patrick- they all can’t do enough to make your stay perfect, Amrita in the Spa is lovely too- very experienced therapist. Danimee is such a lovely lady in pedicures too. Reception team and concierge- Thierry - all amazing and friendly. Home from home for our 7th visit

One of the most Splendide Hotel I ever been, all the staff was caring. The room view was incredible. They treated my mom like a Queen with cake & few gifts. So grateful that I been there. I really Love the views. There's so many spots to relax. My favorite places was the Wild beach, and the Sirius bar. Wi-fi everywhere. Seriously it one of the best hotel I've been with tall the activities. the foods, the spa. actually if you want a Peaceful place to cut off the place to be. Went to Shandrani with the whole family for 3 nights. The service and room were excellent. The scenery was out of this world. Really recommend this hotel for any occasions (personal and professional). Nerby there is Mahebourg, where you can find lot of local accesories.

We spent one week in March at the Shandrani. We were especially impressed with the friendliness of the service. All waiters tried their best to make your dinner or lunch exeptional! The hotel has 3 beaches, 2 in the lagoon and one on the "open sea" with moderate waves. The offered watersport activities are very nice, we want to thank Mr. Berty from the waterski very much for his patience! We tried all restaurants and were absolutely satisfied with the quality of the meals! Our room was good with a nice view to the lagoon.

Lovely hotel and great Service throughout. Blue Bay Bar very good at cocktails and food, food was very hot. Staff very friendly including Nandine, Ven, Kushan, Vishnu and Vicky. Entertainment good of an evening, good singers and disco, where you can get up and dance

Beautiful natural setting of the hotel makes you feel you are in paradise. The hotel is comfortable and tasteful decorated. The food was excellent and the service from Ved and Michel at reception and Jean Noel at restaurant was brilliant. It made our stay a memorable experience.

I had an amazing experience at Shandrani! The reception was incredibly welcoming, and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. It really made my stay special.The location is absolutely perfect for catching the sunrise. It's an unforgettable experience to start the day with such a breathtaking view. The food was exceptional and each meal was delicious which of course made my stay more memorable. It left such a positive impression on me that I can't wait to visit again!
