"Upon my arrival at 6:30 PM, there was no one at reception. I met a hotel guest in the lobby who told me to go to the Ibis hotel across the street to complete the formalities. I had booked online, including breakfast for two, and was then informed that this option was no longer available and that the corresponding amount would be refunded to my credit card later! However, it is clearly stated in the hotel that breakfast was discontinued in December 2024. Yet, this option is still listed as valid on the website in June 2025! Furthermore, despite being in a non-smoking room, I noticed a very unpleasant smell of stale tobacco upon arrival. However, the cleanliness of the room and common areas was not an issue. Even though this hotel has been renovated, there has been a decline in service over the years, and some errors on the website remain uncorrected."

Since I was prevented from business, I wanted to cancel the reservation. Unfortunately, it is clear to me, but a large hotel chain like Ibis should at least put a little value on customers and get something to the right. That was the last time, thank you!"

"We stayed here for 2 nights in the old chateau whilst on a driving tour of Normandy and the Loire in September 24. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very nicely appointed and comfortable and in beautiful grounds on the bank of the river. The restaurant is fabulous with a wonderful selection of wines and delicious food expertly cooked and presented and is really the star of this show, we had a wonderful meal here. The breakfast buffet is served in a lounge adjacent to the reception area and was very good. The room we had on the top floor of the very attractive chateau is classed as a superior room with a large comfortable bed, pleasant bathroom and nice views over the river and countryside. The room itself though is far from superior, with curtains hanging off broken rings, chipped paint and plaster and a really poor hospitality tray with paper cups and no cream or milk for coffee and as we encountered a lot in France no ordinary black tea. We wished we had booked the ordinary rooms in the far nicer looking hotel which is a shame as it was a beautiful building that just needs some love and refurbishment. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would stay again just not in the more expensive chateau unless they give it a much needed makeover."

"Room number 12 was the furthest from reception. It was dark with only one window. A big bath which we didn’t have time to fill as it took too long. A lot of traffic noise constantly throughout our stay."

"The price was high for the quality of room provided. The room was small, but there's still no excuse for the poor design. First, there are no curtains so it was uncomfortable getting in the shower which was directly in line with the window. It was also very bright in the morning which disrupted my sleep. The shower is small and the door opens inward for some reason, which made it ridiculous to get in and out trying to maneuver around the door. There's no way a bigger body could manage. The shower may need new grout because it currently looks quite mouldy. The worst part is that there is no door to the toilet. That is beyond unsanitary. It's also incredibly weird that someone can see the toilet from the bed with no privacy. I am baffled by this room. "

"Quiet hotel, well located. Paid parking: 2 hours maximum or €25 per day. Free on Sundays and public holidays. Breakfast was not very good at all. No fresh bread, the cereal was all soggy… On the plus side, the waiter Roberto, kind words, smile, comes to the tables offering freshly baked items."
