I was so lucky to receive a tour of the castle hotel! Carol was incredibly knowledgeable and we talked informally for an hour about Irish history as it related to the Knox-Gore Family and their residence over time including during the Great Famine and after their departure (i.e., the tuberculosis sanatorium, military barracks, and ultimately hotel, venue, and museum). After our insightful conversation, she took me on a tour of Marshall Doran’s exceptionally eclectic collections including geology, Irish history, and weaponry. I loved being able to feel the weight of the weapons from the medieval period and seeing an executioner’s sword limited to use for beheading gentlemen was quite the education!

We had an incredible stay at the Belleek castle The grounds are stunning and so peaceful. The staff was amazing. I’ve never met such friendly and helpful people. They seemed genuinely happy to help and told us all the different ghost stories from the grounds. Real candles and wood burning stoves throughout the property. We had an amazing dinner with incredible service. The bar area was adorable and then bartender was so sweet and told us all about the nautical decorations. Our room was fully equipped. Had a full Irish breakfast. Yum. Great checkout time and you can peak at the other suites. We had a great time. They made our stay. Everything was such a vibe

Spent 3 nights here recently for a function. The setting is beautiful and the house is impressive. Quirky aspects to it like the Armada ship features I really liked. The room was quite tired. A very cheap fan provided to cool it down, which it didn't really achieve. Staff were for the most part friendly enough. The owner was pure rude and unfriendly and could learn a thing or two about hospitality from Kilkee castle or Lough Rynn. The bar selection in the function room was very poor and they kept opening and closing the one upstairs. Food in general was excellent but service was all over the shop. Having said that the breakfast was really superb. Would I go back? At those prices and for what I got, absolutely not.

I can’t decide if the dinner, atmosphere or service was better. It truly felt like a 5 star experience! The staff was brilliant! The food was beyond expectations, especially the steak! Cocktails at the Armada bar were delicious. The bartender really made us feel like we were the lords and lady’s of the castle. I'm really looking forward to enjoying another evening at Belleek Castle.

Stayed in Belleek castle in early July. Had a great experience. My only real complaint is that the bathroom in our room needs updating. Had dinner there two nights and the food was great! The chefs are doing a fabulous job. The bartender Colm is a superb mixologist and a really nice young man. The wait staff at dinner were really good too. Didn’t feel rushed and they weren’t hovering. It was the right amount of service. All of the staff we interacted with were very professional and nice. Had breakfast next door at Jack Fenn and they make a GREAT cappuccino. After traveling multiple times in Italy I have to say that the ones here were the BEST I’ve ever had. The portions at breakfast can sustain you for most of a day! I suggest doing the castle tour. There’s some really cool history associated with the property and there’s a unique collection of fossils and armor to see as you walk through the levels below. We took the opportunity to see some of the things locally as well including Downpatrick Head and the Céide Fields. We also did the Hawk Walk at Mount Falcon estate which was cool. If you’re in this part of Ireland I recommend checking out Belleek Castle. 4.5/5
