The resort was closed when we arrived. We were given a room at a sister resort that was totally out of the area we wanted to be. They said the power was out. I think they were under booked. The sister resort was not a good place.

When we arrived a man came out of the hotel and showed me his phone to read message because he did not speak English .the message read we are closed at this time and we will transfer you to our other hotel called diamond bay.which was the farthest hotel away from everything.i talked with ******* on line for 2 hours about getting a refund and find us a closer hotel closer to the one we booked as it was close to golf and other things.expedia told me I was past the required time limit to cancel which was a couple days before we arrived but the hotel was closed for a month already and I asked why we were not notified and rebooked.they gave me the run around for 2 hours I finally gave up and went to bed.in the morning I talked with the manager at diamond bay and they found me another hotel in the golden zone that was suitable for everything I wanted to do.expedia did nothing for me.

What I like about the place was has access to pool, same time beach.
Had to tell concierge to have sheets,pillow cases washed.

They charge $100 for the lost keys
They put speakers outside every room they put very loud the music at 8:00 am
They knock the room at 8:00 am for cleaning the room
The housekeeper knock at 8:00 if you don’t accept the room service at the time they say, they took a picture saying don’t bother
The front desk want charge for 2 kids under 10 years old
They want to sell shared time every day giving you a free breakfast but you lost a money day hotel

Zafiro is right on the beach with a great view. It is quiet and private. We had a great room, ocean view, and very clean. Others in our group had a lot of issues with their room such as termites and broken door handles.
The property definitely needs work. The pool deck had broken pieces, the hot tub was not heated and the railing was unsafe. Tables and chairs under the awning would be nice as well as chairs for the beach. The room was clean, large and good value for the price. The hotel itself has no amenities at all. There was breakfast available for an extra charge, but it was always full of people trying to sell time shares. Zafiro s across the street from pickleball courts. Some maintenance and minor upgrades and I might go back.

The property is in a very much needed renovation fridge didn’t fit counter top all broken the stove was very old and you had to let it heat up for a long time very little light in the kitchen the hot tub was cold and missing a lot of tiles the railing was very old and wobbly no railing to the pool which was missing a lot of tiles around it it needs a lot of work staff were friendly but very little English in the advertising it said toaster,blender,BBQ we had none of the above we complained and they went and bought all 3 of us a toaster no spa or service of any kind that was advertised very few loungers at the pool so the advertising was very deceiving
