Nice hotel with nice breakfast.

Hotel is beautiful, lobby, restaurant & bar are great, check out time is 11am, housekeeper knocked our door at 10:35am, I think it is no point, bc we’re wrapping up our luggage, and will leave before 11am regardless.

The surrounding areas of the hotel are under construction. It is estimated that it will be easy to enter and exit after the completion.

Echt genoten! We gaan zeker nog eens terug. 1 minpuntje, ze zijn voor het hotel aan het verbouwen.

Terrible experience. When arriving late the hotel has a practice of over booking the rooms. So in my case the room was paid for - but not available as rooms were sold to other guests. it is practice to 'over book' up to 11 rooms per hotel. This goes for Van der Valk Zaventum and as well for this Van der Valk. Receptionist explained this happens all the time - and then they try to find solution on the spot by calling other hotels. For me they found one - after one hour.. and it was another 30 min drive. Don't use these hotels especially not in case of arriving later than 23h.

I loved the restoration work on the hotel - they did a lovely job preserving the building while making it functional as a hotel. There was a lot of construction going on around the hotel which meant there was mud and plenty of puddles during our stay (there was rain on and off while we were in Mechelen).

Very interesting stay in a Hotel with all the requirements for a couple honey moon :) room quality, restaurant services, meals, professional teams, all of the above in great level. Thanks Van der Valk.

The hotel location is a bit far from Brussels but very nice experience for the over night stay at the hotel. The hotel was ver nice, clean, tidy and we organised Mosaics in the hallways wer a bit worned up by compare to the rest of the facility it is a marginal problem. The room was nice, big, clean, tidy and pleasant . The bed was gift and nice, and good to fall in sleep in it The restaurant was tidy , clean and well organised, the breakfast was excellent with variety of choices. I will highly recommend this place and will definitely return to this hotel.

The hotel itself is really nice and the food was extraordinary and delicious. Unfortunately, you cannot open the windows in some of the rooms, as they are blocked with a lock and so the air in the room was smelly and thick the whole time I stayed there. At least the staff should be able to air the room when they clean it. All other aspects were excellent. The construction site next to the hotel is not nice but it did not disturb me that much.

Be careful: The hotel is in the middle of a construction site. Management didn’t bother to mention this on the hotel website, probably because potential customers would turn away from it. We to walk over muddy pathways to get to our car or to visit the city. This is the first time we were really disappointed in a VDV hotel.

Nice business hotel with great facilities. However this location is currently surrounded by significant construction activity. Today this commenced at 05:00am with a concrete pour. Trucks and personnel adjacent to the hotel creating significant noise. Furthermore access to this location is heavily compromised by the ongoing works not linked to the hotel

Slept badly because of the many lights in the room.... due to the adjacent construction site, construction lights shone right into the room. In the bathroom there is no curtain so all the light came in.

Got a corner room on 1+ floor. It was beautiful. Breakfast was all anyone could dream of. Bring a sleep mask to avoid light in the morning. Everything was clean. The bad was good, not too hard. I loved the high ceiling. The pictures will convince you.
