This hotel does not live up to the Intercontinental brand and it seems like management doesn’t seem to care. First the good: -outdoor area including the pool is fantastic -the gym is substantial and has everything you need -rooms are spacious Now the opportunities: -room was dated and the air conditioning didn’t work well making. The room was very warm and stuffy -staff didn’t seem to care about guest requests. When we spoke to the hotel manager about issues, no options were presented. -as an IHG Ambassador, I am entitled to various benefits while staying at Intercontinental properties. None of these were given apart from an early / late checkout and a upgrade. -we were charged for items not used and I’m still trying to contact the hotel to resolve issues and it’s been 6 weeks I understand that the pandemic has been difficult to the hotel industry in general but this was my worst hotel experience in 2021 and that is after travelling 4 continents and staying at a few dozen properties. I would personally not stay at this property again when visiting Medellin.

I choose this property base on the hotel website and few reviews online. 5 Starts hotel mean an extraordinary service, customer service, and above and beyond customer service. My room was 1306 very small room, basic room, not welcome amenities (water batle or any sweets as other 5 start hotels does. The towels are absolutely inappropriate like old and stained towels, some with the bed sheets. The chairs were not in good shape and dirty. The chais were not dirty but they look old and weathered. Breakfast was delicious, local food, and several choices to eat, continental & American breakfast style available. The portion are extremely small micro-bread , so you have to put in your plate may pieces because they are too small. Poor customer service and most the employees feels like empowered just because they work at the hotel. Except few people. Upon my arrival not courtesy at all, no water bottle complementary so comparing with the holiday Inn Express & Suites located one block down that goes above & beyond to make us feel welcome at the hotel. For the price I paid it is not make sense to spent large amount of money for. Very poor service. The Hotel Bellman (April 2) in the morning. Was the extraordinary person as the maid on my room (Mary)

Three men walked into my room during my stay unannounced while two of my roommates were undressed and hotel management won’t do anything about it!! I rented 9 hotel rooms and a conference room at Hotel Dorado for 30 leaders of my nonprofit org for 4 days. On day 2 of our stay a mysterious man bolted into our room unannounced and saw my roommate completely undressed. Why would someone outside of our party could have access to our room!? We went to hotel managers Joanna and Marco and they won’t do a single thing about it. They tell us it is not a big deal just “a matter of perspective”. Shortly after reporting this, Marco charged into our room with another man behind him completely unannounced, didn’t knock, just opened the door while yet ANOTHER girl was undressing and would not leave the room claiming he is trying to “fix the problem”. Marco and Joanna need to be fired! At this point all the girls in my organization were scared, some were crying, we all felt completely UNSAFE. The management was harassing us. They have camera’s on every floor and when we asked they claim there is no footage of these events (how convenient!!!) so now we are filing suit against them so they can release the footage to us. On top of all of this mental &emotional trauma my girls went through,I spent over $3,000 for hotel rooms, conference room, and hotel catering and the hotel won’t refund us for the services and rooms we didn’t use after the incidents.This would be THE VERY LEAST they can do.

Hotel near main road, if you go with children and use stroller it is a bit complicated due to the steep slopes due to the geography of the area, when you arrive they give you a welcome cocktail for adults (not very good) and ice cream for children , in general the breakfast is quite abundant and good, we were only one night for a connection flight, the international airport is about 1 hour

Excellent Value. Great & Very Friendly staff, Clean & very SAFE location of Poblado, Medellin. My wife and I stayed there for a week and had a great experience. We have visited Medellin several times and stayed at many different Hotels and think this is exceptionally good for people looking for one in a safe and quiet area.(Not good for party people or party area). Our daughter is arriving Medellin in a few weeks and we will have two Jr. Suites booked here. Two small issues- 1-Very good Breakfast but SAMETHING EVERYDAY; 2-No English TV.

I expected more from such a high reviewed hostel and from the way they made me sign a contract yet unfortunately they do not deserve such a high rating and should be inspected. I had an awful experience here from the lack of air circulation in the rooms with no windows and excess of people and beds to the unprofessional disrespectful rude and unkind staff as well as management. The breakfast is okay for a hostel and well the only decent human beings and overworked and underpaid staff were the maintance crew which deserve a raise and praise aside from that I do not wish to even comment the nastyness filth and disgusting environment and treatment from the staff. I checked myself out and just used the place as a storage. Worthless and needs to change the management and employees except for the maintenance crew who deserve a raise.

Safe neighborhood, and close to Provenza to go out at night. I will definitely consider staying here again. I didn’t try the food, but had a couple of drinks at the bar on the rooftop.

We had a small separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bidet and shower over the bath. All was clean. Windows can be opened and have shutters. There is substantial traffic noise. At the nearby corner is a bus stop and traffic lights. Busses stop and accelerate from early morning till late at night. The breakfast is modest: pastries, toast, butter & marmalade, croissants, fruit & orange juice, cups of cereals, milk, tea & coffee. Scrambled eggs and espressos are extra. We found hotel Nutibara comfortable and we had a OK stay.

Amazing place , however they were not helpful in allowing me to check in to my room even one hour early. They insisted I wait until 3 pm and then one back. The lobby area is basically outside and it was raining,,I basically froze to death while the front desk people insisted that I could not check into my pre-paid room until 3 pm sharp. I sat there for two hours quite chilly and damp, and had to sit at their outdoor restaurant (very slow and poor service) and order and expensive lunch because they would not let me in a little early. The place was not crowded either. Therefore my first impression was poor.

In addition, this hotel is located in the city center, it is said that the security in the city center is not good at night, but I did not see the problem, I have to go out at night and run around the street. It is estimated that there is no big problem. The hotel's access is very strict and safe, no problem, (the store is closed at night and it is not necessary to go outside). The Morgana Poblado Suites Hotel's receptionist, Anderson, gives the property a very negative first impression, it was rude and unwelcoming, he didn't greet us. When I approached the reception desk and was asked for our passports by a young lady. They both became immigration inspectors going through the passport. Apparently they were looking for my arrival stamp. I was asked to find it, they weren't going to allow me to stay. When I found the immigration stamp they were looking for, I was asked about employment and what my position was. Anderson was shouting out the questions in front of everyone. Feeling very uncomfortable I went towards and spoke at a normal volume. Also, instead of asking for a credit card he immediately charged the credit card for the number of days I'm staying. What's customary is to give the card number and pay at the end guest's stay. After that ordeal, our room was assigned and we went to Rm. 308. From the moment we entered the room the smell of urine was unbearable, disgusting. I called reception, Anderson, and explained. After 20 minutes waiting a hotel employee shows up and had the audacity to ask us if we had consumed anything from the Mini-Bar, we had not even closed the door because of the foul odor. The positive was that the second room given had the two single beds we had originally requested, the other had one King size bed. The other hotel staff were lovely, during breakfast service they treated guests extremely well. I hope no one goes through what we went through. I will never stay or recommend this property to anyone. Cuando me acerqué al mostrador de recepción una joven nos pidió nuestros pasaportes. Ambos, Anderson y la joiven, se convirtieron en inspectores de imigracion revisando el pasaporte. Aparentemente estaban buscando mi sello de llegada. Me pidieron que lo encontrara, no me iban a dejar quedarme. Cuando encontré el sello de inmigración que buscaban, me preguntaron sobre mi empleo y cuál era mi titulo. Anderson estaba gritando las preguntas frente a todos. Sintiéndome muy incómodo me acerqué y hablé a un volumen normal. Además, en lugar de pedir una tarjeta de crédito, inmediatamente cargó la tarjeta de crédito por la cantidad de días que me quedé. Lo habitual es dar el número de tarjeta y pagar al final de la estancia del huésped. Después de esa terrible experiencia, nuestra habitación fue asignada y fuimos a la 308. Desde el momento en que entramos en la habitación el olor a orina era insoportable, repugnante. Llamé a la recepción y le expliqué. Después de 20 minutos de espera aparece un empleado del hotel que tuvo la osadía de preguntarnos si habíamos consumido algo del Mini-Bar, ni siquiera habíamos cerrado la puerta por el mal olor. But the chair was a bit low for the office desk so that I felt a little uncomfortable. Their main restaurant was a bit small compared to the number of the rooms. I stayed 7 nights. Starting positive. Rooms are very spacious, nicely equipped and clean. Most of the receptionists are welcoming, attentive and helpful. They fulfilled all my requests, including waving a (50% daily!) rate for a 4 hours late checkout. The chef is very talented: I can vouch for his pizza and dessert. Now, for the problematic aspects: location, noise, breakfast, and inconvenience. Location - I picked this hotel for personal reasons, aware of this disadvantage. The hotel is located a 15 minutes walk from, in one direction - the nearest metro station, and in the opposite direction - carrera 70 (center of life in Laureles). Noise - there is a wide atrium from bottom to top of the building; its fourth side isn't a wall, but a net/screen;all the staircase side facing the street is just open shutters. Result: all street and sky noises are LOUDLY heard all the time, including at the back side (where I requested a quiet room). The windows aren't noise-isolated. neither are the doors. Breakfast - A) service is unbelievingly slow. I once waited 40 minutes for my eggs and hot drinks. Reason: there are only two (nice but forgetful) waitresses. B) guests need to ask again and again for re-supplies at the buffet..... C) .....which is VERY basic and unvarying. There is a for-pay menu of additionals. Uncomfortable bed environment - A) Night tables are 50 cms from the bed, and unmovable. B) No USB sockets. There's an elec socket on only one side of the bed, 1.5 mtrs away. Result: no cellular recharge possible while lying in bed. C) No master switch for room lights near the bed. PS - in order to open the windows, one has to climb on a chair. Taken with the open-noisy structure of the building, it really seems as if human comfort was deliberately ignored in internal design.

The breakfast is modest: pastries, toast, butter & marmalade, croissants, fruit & orange juice, cups of cereals, milk, tea & coffee. Scrambled eggs and espressos are extra. La ubicación me pareció excelente, a menos de tres cuadras de la estación del metro Universidad. A pesar de ser una zona con movimiento, se siente segura para caminar, incluso por la noche, debido a las funciones de cine nocturno gratuito al aire libre en el Parque de los Deseos. Precisamente frente al parque hay opciones de comida que van desde restaurantes establecidos hasta puestos ambulantes (hamburguesas, hotdogs, pinchos,...). La estación Universidad está a tan solo una de distancia de Caribe (Terminal del Norte); igualmente se puede tomar el metro en dirección Sur para llegar al Centro (San Antonio) o al Terminal del Sur (Poblado). Precisamente por esa accesibilidad al transporte público fue que elegí este alojamiento, ya que la zona es segura y no rebosa de vida nocturna que resulte incómoda, como Poblado o la Carrera 70. El hotel es pequeño, más bien una casa adaptada a este servicio. La habitación me pareció muy buena para lo que la necesitaba: espaciosa, limpia, con cama amplia y armarios para colgar y poner cosas, con baño y desayuno incluido. Ciertamente tiene sus desventajas, como que el servicio de canales de TV es demasiado limitado (dos canales a lo mucho, a pesar de colocar un listado) o que la puerta de la habitación tiene huecos en la parte superior por donde entra el ruido de la recepción. Estuve 3 noches en la habitación 1, la cual se encuentra justo frente al comedor y la recepción, de modo que todo el tiempo escuchaba las conversaciones, entrada y salida de personas. Además, su ventana da a la calle, de modo que abrir la cortina (las cuales son muy delgadas) significa que cualquier transeúnte puede verte y la luz del sol entre directamente apenas amanece. Un detalle que personalmente tendría que mejorar es el trato de algunos empleados que trabajan en el hotel. Es cierto que no todos son iguales y algunos hacen muy bien su trabajo con amabilidad, pero otros dejan mucho que desear. Por ejemplo, las siguientes tres experiencias que tuve con algunos empleados: En primera, cuando llegué e hice el check-in, la chica de recepción me llevó a la habitación para mostrarme las instalaciones y que todo funcionara bien, pero concluyó con una frase que me pareció bastante ruda: ”si rompe algo lo tiene que pagar”. Seamos realistas, es posible que haya huéspedes que no cuiden el mobiliario, sí, pero hay maneras de decir las cosas de una forma más educada. Teniendo en cuenta que llegar a Medellín representa un viaje largo (ya sea desde el aeropuerto que está lejos o bien en autobús desde otra ciudad), decir ese tipo de frases a un huésped recién llegado como que no es lo ideal. El segundo problema fue la llave de mi habitación. Al salir es necesario dejar la llave en recepción para la limpieza y pedirla al volver. Justo en mi último día, salí por la tarde dejando la llave a un chico en recepción; cuando regresé por la noche, era otro empleado que ocupaba la recepción y la llave de mi habitación no estaba. This hotel sucks if your single and even more if you don't speak Spanish. They are in a tourist area and nobody in the building can hold a conversation in English. The hotel is extremely over priced comparing to what you they charge for other hotels in the city. The night I arrived I thought I was going to get shot because as I'm getting out my UBER the security guard is already clinching his gun. (Granted vehicles windows were tinted and it was raining) They barely have ice which means depending on the time of the day your asking for it they may not have it available. No they don't have a functioning ice machine. You have to wait for somebody to bring ice with them when they come to work. THEY CHARGE you for having any guest so if your traveling with friends your friends MUST have a room within the hotel in order to just come to your room. Otherwise they have to wait in the lobby. Isn't that some mess? Your allowed 1 person to come to your room throughout your whole entire stay. By the 3rd night of my stay I was trying to cancel the rest of my reservation and move on but Nope they wouldn't let me. If your a couple than by all means its cool to stay but keep in mind your going to struggle for ice and to communicate with anybody. Breakfast is cool, the area is very high class and the rooms were nice and clean. Hotel will be difficult for UBER to find due to it being on top of some sort of salon
