Dar El Medina is such a special place — full of history and right in the middle of the Old Medina. My room had that traditional Tunisian style I love, and the rooftop terrace has an incredible view over the city. Breakfast was amazing. It’s not a buffet, but a big sit-down meal that was so good (and so much food) I usually skipped lunch after. The Wi-Fi worked great and the shower had strong water pressure — not something you can always count on in older buildings. What really made my stay though was the people. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. When I lost my passport, they helped me make calls, talk to the right offices, and get everything sorted. The breakfast staff were always smiling and just genuinely nice every morning. If you’re visiting Tunis, I’d definitely recommend staying here. It’s comfortable, beautiful, and run by people who really care.

Memorable wonderful stay in a most unique, quiet and safe property in the historic Medina. Perfect for adventurous travelers, not the Marriott crowd. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff made the stay simply wonderful. Highly recommend having dinner at the rooftop restaurant as well, and coordinate airport transfer with the hotel to avoid airport taxis. Enjoy the Medina!

Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience—it’s a true gem, originally a historic home that’s been tastefully transformed into a boutique hotel. The design and ambiance are full of charm and artistic detail. Everything was impeccably clean and carefully maintained. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and refined. The team was both professional and attentive, always ready to help. I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to Nada and Soheil for their exceptional service and kindness. This place is perfect for those who appreciate history, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

Dear Esteemed Management of Jaz Hotels & Resorts, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience and delightful stay we had at Jaz Dar El Madina in Marsa Alam, from June 6th to June 10th, 2025, in rooms 523 and 525. Our vacation was truly unforgettable in every sense of the word, and this is due to every individual working with you. Starting with the aware and professional hotel management, who ensured even the smallest details were taken care of to guarantee our comfort and happiness. I must also express my special thanks to Mr. Abdel Rahman (reception) for his excellent service, Ms. Lamia (booking office) for her precision and assistance, and Mr. Qasem (restaurant reservations) for his helpful recommendations. all the hotel staff, from the reception to the restaurants, and including the housekeeping and maintenance teams, and everyone we met. We witnessed their spirit of cooperation, friendliness, and keen dedication to fulfilling all our needs and providing the utmost comfort, making our vacation happy and relaxing in every way. We felt right at home, which clearly reflects the high level of professionalism and training your team possesses. Thank you once again for everything. We eagerly look forward to visiting you again very soon. With sincere regards and appreciation.

We stayed two nights before joining a Gate1 tour of Tunisia. I was a bit concerned about reaching the location, especially since we arrived around midnight. Our transfer from the airport drove us as close as he could, then walked us to the hotel. Afterward, we found it very easy to walk around the neighbourhood and return without problem to the hotel. The hotel is very well located. As you exit and turn right, you walk along a "mostly" pedestrian area with many shops and coffee houses. The street dead ends at the mosque (Muslims only), but this is where you enter the souks. If you turn left when you exit the hotel, you will soon come to a small square. We had the most delicious chapati here for about $4 ( definitely share!!) The hotel was built in 1820, remodeled in 2005, and still owned by the same family. Only nine rooms and LOTS of stairs even after accessing your room! Bed was firm but comfortable, water pressure in the shower was excellent, and there was lots of hot water. Breakfast served from 7 to 11. 7 to 9 breakfast is served in an interior room as you enter the property and ftom 9 to 11 in the courtyard off reception. Generous continental breakfast is delivered, but eggs are also available. In every way this hotel is delightful from the staff, to the building and rooms, to the breakfast. There is a rooftop area accessed by a staircase near reception. Highly recommended!
