Abraj Almarzam Hotel

The room is large and clean. The bathroom with the toilet inside is small. Overall, the place is clean. There are a few shops nearby. The only problem is that some people smoke in the hallway, and many of the hotel residents (Yemeni and Asian) don't respect their neighbors; they speak loudly, and some even shout, creating foul smells in the reception area. Also, there's construction going on in the morning with workers hammering on the wall as early as 7 AM!!

The smell of smoke was coming into our non-smoking rooms, even though we specifically requested non-smoking. This was very bothersome, especially since I was traveling with children. I personally didn't like the location; it's about an 8-9 minute walk to the Haram, which feels a bit far, and it takes even longer if it's crowded. Unfortunately, the rooms have no soundproofing; we could clearly hear street noise and sounds from the hallways. On a positive note, all the reception staff were very respectful and professional.

The hotel is excellent and affordable. There's no shuttle bus to the Haram (Grand Mosque). Check-in time is 4 PM, but I was able to check in around 3:30 PM at the latest. Taxi fare to and from the Haram via Careem app ranges from 15 to 25. There are services conveniently located near and within the hotel building itself.

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Haram. The place is very clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly.
