Megara Hotel ★★★

📍 Agiou Ioannou Theologou 84, Megara

"This was our third time staying at the hotel. We have much family in the area and we stay here as it is close to all of them. We arrived late June, in the middle of a nasty heatwave. We check in at the hotel and are told that the air conditioning is not working in the hotel and they didn't know when it would be repaired. It was unbearable. You would take a shower and immediately start sweating as you tried to get dressed; as if you were living in a sauna. It was not repaired during our stay. Upon check-out, we asked to speak to a manager, as we did not see one there the whole time. They were not present, so we asked the front desk if they could email management and give us a discount or credit for the horrible conditions we had to endure. We never even received an apology email or an offer of any kind of compensation. This is how you treat returning guests? We spent hundreds of dollars on the room; prices were high due to the summer season. It would've been respectful if management cared enough to take care of their guests!!"

Hotel Cokkinis

Hotel Cokkinis ★★★

📍 50km Old National Road, Kineta, Megara

"The room was laid out like a typical three-star hotel, but the overall experience was extremely comfortable and elegant, comparable to a five-star hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the balcony offered stunning views. There was a restaurant with delicious food; enjoying drinks and conversation with fellow travelers in the evenings made for wonderful memories. Highly recommended!"

"Perfectly clean sea!!!! If you book one of the four bungalows near the sea, your holiday will be very good. It's strange why we didn't find the national Greek pie tiropita at breakfast"

Elevator, cleaning not done every day, non-potable water in the bathroom but bottled water available on request"

Megara Hotel ★★★
"Used this hotel as a base in Megara whilst attending a family wedding. The rooms were clean and functional and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. Ideally, we would have liked to have had a kettle in the room and some way of controlling the lights from the bed, but these are minor niggles. Would make a great place to stop over between Athens and the Peloponnese."

Comer Kinetta Beach ★★★★
"I was overall disappointed with the vacation. The hotel is nice, nothing fancy, but okay. The cleaning was pretty good, except for the ants that traveled to our bathroom every day and the cicadas that crawled under the door. The food was a big disappointment. The first day it was okay, but every day it got worse and worse. The grilled meat was just pork belly, and children don't eat that, the rest was always stewed in some sauce and it didn't look nice at all. I think the meat was only good for one day without sauce. My daughter was sick for one day and I brought my intestinal problems home. The hotel corresponds to 3 stars, not 4. The drinks weren't good either. The hotel discriminates people by nationality quite a bit, the French are treated better, to the point that it's unpleasant for others. Otherwise it's quiet there, because there really isn't anything for a long distance. There's nowhere to go for a walk. The beach is very rocky, so you can only walk along the edge of the sea. In the hotel and on the beach you constantly come across dogs roaming freely, probably belonging to the owner. In the hotel you really have to be careful where you step, as the dogs will lie down anywhere."

Sun Hotel Kineta Beach Front ★★
"Avoid this hotel. The hotel is old and poorly laid out. Only one change of sheets during a week's stay. Poor condition and maintenance leaving something to be desired. Bad food, not local. Hotel directly on the pebble beach. Torn deckchairs. Taps mounted upside down. Non-potable water but bottles provided"
