Das Hotel Sherlock Holmes
"Six of us have just enjoy a fabulous stay at Sherlock Holmes Hotel , The reception girl was awesome with the best customer service . So helpful The food also fabulous . What more can I say to compliment on our stay . The hotel is also so very clean which means a lot ."
Victoria - Alpine Boutique Hotel & Fine Dining
"A truly wonderful experience. The hotel was very comfortable and stylish. I slept very well and enjoyed the nice touches, such as the fruit in the room and the cake in the afternoon. Dinner in the restaurant was so good that we decided to dine there for both the evenings! The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent for hiking adventures in the mountains. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to return."
Parkhotel du Sauvage
"The minibar offered is really awesome. Also, I like the Sherlock Holmes vibe so much! Yet, no air-conditioning is a big problem when it's 36 degree Celsius!"
Hotel Dakota
"My bestie and I spent a week in Switzerland, and this was our least favorite stay of the whole trip (and the most expensive hotel at $400 USD for one night). First of all, I booked this hotel over a month before our visit and within 5 minutes of making the reservation, I discovered that most of the attractions in the town (for example, Aare Gorge and Reichenbach Falls) were closed for the month of December. Based on this knowledge, we decided we would bypass this town. Despite requesting a cancelation within 5 minutes of making the reservation, the hotel denied my request. It would have been an easy cancelation and my travel agent was shocked they wouldn't honor our request. So we decided we had to stay there instead of losing $400. As for the hotel room, it was not impressive. The sheets felt like sandpaper. The pillows were so thin. My friend found a long hair on her side of the bed. The shower was a joke (see photo). The sink area was so poorly designed -- the shelf over the sink made it impossible to use the sink to brush teeth. Not worth the money at al. The breakfast was included in the stay, but it was pretty bleak. We left the hotel right after breakfast because there was no need to stay there any longer. The only reason I'm giving the hotel a 2 is that the people at the front desk were very nice. Meiringen may be a cuteish town, but I would try another hotel if you must stop here and try to avoid going there in December!"

"The apartment is lovely with everything you need for a fab stay. Meiringen is a lovely little village with beautiful traditional houses and a river running straight through. Very close to the local co op shop which is very handy. Everything was clean and"
