Arriving by train had to ask how to get to hotel as having NO working handy coming from oversees . The access to hotel very steep and a challenge using a walker (rollator), however it was very nice of the receptionist/manager backing down a car to manage the steep hill, although there are 45 steps to use. Later on enjoying a beer/wine in the very quiet lobby using the rocking chairs. To explore Meissen, we used a taxi from hotel - called by staff - to the Dom and from there a sight seeing bus back. Spent time in a tremendous restaurant at Dom Platz - super friendly, helpful waitress. It was unfortunate that the Dom has been closed, further more several restaurants in town as well.
Overall, Meissen has been a nice experience and if the weather would have been on our side, it would have been even nicer. Thank's, had a short but relaxing stay at the Hotel Burgblick Meissen. - Renate and Linda from Canada
