I stayed for two nights. While the hotel is a bit old, that's generally the style in Melaka, so the ambiance was fine. The main issue was with the facilities. My baby and I ended up showering with cold water.
I reported the issue again on the second morning. Someone came to fix it, and hot water became available. However, while happily showering, the water suddenly cut out... There was water in the sink outside, so I used that to rinse off.
The swimming pool was pretty empty when I went, which was nice and relaxing. Breakfast was also acceptable.
One good perk is that you can contact the front desk to board a cruise directly from the hotel's entrance. However, you can't guarantee sitting together with your party because people who boarded online at the opposite dock then come to the hotel's entrance to board, so you usually have to sit separately.
