The hotel's location is great and very convenient. The self-service check-in machine was also a breeze, saving time when it's busy. The only downside is that the soundproofing in the room isn't the best, and the window faces a building just 10 meters away. However, for this price in Melbourne, it's quite acceptable!

The room was quite clean, and the location next to Chinatown was great. It was just a bit old.

The room was spacious enough to fit everything; we had a 24-inch and a 28-inch suitcase spread out with no problem at all. The bathroom was also a good size and very clean – full marks for the experience! The best part is the location; it's super convenient, just across the street from a shopping mall. Right in front of the hotel, there are great stores like Arc'teryx, Acne Studios, and COS, which are amazing for browsing! And you definitely don't have to worry about food, as there are restaurants everywhere nearby! Choosing this hotel was definitely the right call.

The staff member who checked me in was incredibly friendly, and there was a welcome drink too! The room was spacious, very new, and the bed was super comfortable. The soundproofing was also excellent. The location is absolutely fantastic. The breakfast was nutritious and had plenty of options: fried eggs, bacon, sausages, fried noodles, various breads, fruits, milk, yogurt, cereal, hot chocolate, juice, and coffee. This was by far the most satisfying stay of my trip to Australia.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the CBD, perfect for shopping, getting around, and enjoying Chinese food. The room size is quite generous, but the soundproofing isn't great. Breakfast is just okay, with no vegetables. Overall, the value for money is decent.

This was the worst accommodation experience out of my four trips to Australia. I booked impulsively just based on the Mercure name without comparing, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. While the renovation is recent, it only seems to apply to the bathroom; the bedroom still feels old and has a persistent, inescapable odor. There's also no way to open the windows for ventilation. I don't recommend it, but Melbourne itself is great, and I'll definitely be back.

The hotel is in Chinatown, which can be quite congested, but it's great to be able to step right out and go shopping!

Very good location, walking distance to most places. Room is small but it has everything. No room keeping for all 3 nights I stayed. Room insulation is poor, can hear the noise from corridor and next door clearly.
