Solana Hotel & Spa Reviews

This hotel felt more like a hostel, with lots of people relaxing on the sofas in front of the reception desk. The front desk staff were very good, welcoming me with a smile. However, I could hear a lot of noise and voices from the corridor in my room, which was a bit bothersome. There's no door on the shower, so I had to be careful not to get everything wet around me. On the bright side, having a fridge and a kettle made for a great start to the day.

I checked in at the hotel and the room was dirty and contacted reception and they sent housekeeping who came and put an old torn bedsheet. It’s not worth it and even the breakfast, there was no tea bags etc, not recommended at all but thanks to Trip.com I was able to get refund as I left the hotel so as not to spoil my holiday.

Nice location and the staff are welcoming. I stayed there for 3 nights and it was good.

On the hill surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. You don't need to go far for a night out. Reception staff were helpful and efficient and the Prickly Pear coffee and cakes were excellent. Leisure facilities all looked good though I didn't actually try them out, just had a good look round. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice.Room was spacious.but a little chilly for me. Having a fridge was a bonus as the safety deposit box which was free to use. Balcony was tiny but functional. A good hotel with a pleasant atmosphere.

Fine location, center of Mellieha, shops and restaurants close by. Friendly and helpful staffs. Good hotel. Comfortable and super clean. Big bathroom, big room, good air conditioner. Refrigerator, electric kettle so it's convenient. Quiet and peaceful to sleep at night. We stayed there for 2 nights, all good. Rooftop swimming pool is the best! 2 swimming pools - one is adult only. Many spaces for sunbeds. Also nice pool bar ( happy hour from 6 pm to 8 pm for same drink) Breakfast also really nice. Many choices. Nice view from there. It's big hotel so many rooms but quite enough space for breakfast time. Attentive staffs to clean out table really quickly for new guests. First night at hotel we decided to have dinner there at rooftop restaurant - Top Deck. It's Yakiniku theme, nice food and affordable - also has normal menu to order too Aniket took good care of us there. Thank you very much! We had really good stay here.

We had a most pleasant stay at the Solana Hotel. We booked for 5 nights. Communications before checking in were very good and when we arrived the receptionist Kristion was super helpful and friendly; a lovely start to the holiday. He even managed to get us an upgraded room! The room was clean and had everything we needed.  We didn’t use the restaurants.  I swam daily in the indoor pool and it was a great facility for me. The hotel was near bus stops so we could explore the island.  I would certainly recommend !

Room stank of cigarettes, superior room much smaller than on images, not cleaned before arrival, explained our issues to staff, they try to argue.

Very nice hotel and spa!

This hotel is an absolute gem in the rock of Malta, facilities are amazing, Sauna, 3 pools, spa, great restaurants and genuinely unbeatable price. The staff are amazing and they look after you so well. I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel for the price it was offered at.

The hotel itself is good, with the station nearby, perfect for a one-night stopover from the ferry terminal. It has a pool, and there are some excellent restaurants in the vicinity, all more affordable than other places in Malta. This might be because it's not in the main tourist area.
