George and Abbotsford ★★★
"Restaurant is very positive at Melrose Abbott. The hotel was very clean and the hospitality was very friendly and very hospitality. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great rest. The bathroom is a little small (I was in a single room), but absolutely functional and ok for all needs. The prices of the area are somewhat high, but overall this structure is cheaper than the other hotels in Melrose."
The Townhouse Hotel ★★★
"The room is big and right in downtown, but parking is a bit tight. There are many restaurants nearby."
Dryburgh Abbey Hotel ★★★
"Gorgeous old family estate turned Hotel/Guest House. Spacious and comfortable room. Perfect location to come back to after driving around exploring the Scottish Boarders. Breakfast service was lacking in its service. Young and inexperienced staff spent too much time standing around doing nothing instead of ensuring the buffet was stocked, used dishes cleared off tables, or even tables set for guests."
Burt's Hotel ★★★
"Lovely traditional hotel with great staff and fine food. It is situated right in the middle of Melrose, with great walks and ruins nearby."
Buccleuch Arms ★★★★
"My friend and I stayed over night to celebrate her birthday . We were met at reception by a very efficient and friendly young man called Jamie. He welcomed us and was very friendly . The room was a disappointment - tired and very old fashioned furniture . It was clean mostly but hair stuck in the sink plug hole and hairs on the mattress protector let it down . Food was fabulous and we were made very welcome by a lady called Beth who was very friendly and served by Jamie who was really efficient and happy to chat . Breakfast was lovely with a really good selection of food. We were served by Beth who could not do enough for us and was very good at checking we had everything we needed The staff really make this hotel . They really are fabulous . Thankyou Jamie and Beth for looking after us so well .Superstars x"
Kirklands Bed & Breakfast ★★★
Bowden House B&B ★★★★
"We had a wonderful Stay at Bowden B&B. Lovely location ideal for our stay as attending Thirlston Castle Classic car show. We chose Bowden House for its safe and secure courtyard for our 1960s car. We received a warm welcome from Uta and Jason and pleased to meet the dogs.( Didn't see enough of them). The house and gardens were beautiful, our room was spacious and a comfy bed and a lovely view of gardens and countryside. The breakfast was to die for and set us up for the day. We would recommend Bowden House and hope to return in the near future."
