Finding the back of the car park was a mission in itself. Limited disabled bays at the front of the hotel but we managed to secure one upon arrival to assist getting someone with mobility issues out the car and into the hotel. Staff upon on arrival were helpful and welcoming however paying for early check-in for two rooms doesn’t guarantee your rooms will be ready from 11am. Family room was not ready, which upset and distressed one of our party. It was almost 12pm by the time they got access. She also complained that the smaller bed in her room didn’t have a proper fitted sheet on her bed that made it uncomfortable. She could also hear the main door just outside the room bang as it was in regular use. The other room, a double, was more than adequate with all the amenities and a large shower cubicle. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the choice of pastries, cereal and drinks were good. Staff were all lovely, they’re a very nice team. Location is great, which was the deciding factor in booking this hotel. With the exception of one unhappy guest in our party, most would stay here again.
