Azz Merida Medea ★★★★

📍 Av. de Portugal, s/n, Merida

"The hotel is very nice, clean and quiet, the breakfast was very good buffet style, it's on the outskirts of Mérida although you can get to the center in 5 minutes by car, it's next to a shopping center, burger, Carrefour, the experience was very good."

Hotel Ilunion Mérida Palace

Hotel Ilunion Mérida Palace ★★★★★

📍 Pl. de España, 19, Merida

"The hotel's decor perfectly reflects the local character, with a strong Roman feel. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the castle and the Roman bridge, and not far from museums and the Roman theater. The only downside during my stay was the room, which essentially had no window. While the room type and size were good, the inability to open the window for ventilation was a major flaw, significantly reducing the comfort of my stay. The room was on the third floor, and the window overlooked a common area on the third and a half floors, making ventilation impossible. Upon reflection, this defect is likely related to the booking platform. Ctrip has limited influence overseas, resulting in a lower probability of getting a good room. Combined with the platform's aggressive price-cutting tactics, the hotel had no choice but to quietly assign this room to its customers. Moreover, given the efficiency in Europe, changing rooms after check-in is almost impossible. I only discovered this problem at night and had to endure it for two nights. This three-month trip is nearing its end, and I never expected to stay in such a unique hotel in Mérida with a room that couldn't be ventilated – a real disappointment! (Attached is a picture of the room showing the window.)"

Parador de Merida ★★★★
"Fantastic Parador in the heart of Mérida. It's spacious and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay: a swimming pool, sauna, gym, a well-run café, a lovely patio for drinks, and the Roman Theatre is just a fifteen-minute walk away. Parking is convenient, although, as is often the case, a bit pricey. The large rooms overlook the pool; my only suggestion would be to renovate the bathrooms. For me, it's a ten out of ten; I loved it."

"Good location, cleanness, and attention. Beautifully decorated. For a 4 star hotel, they missed some details that should be a must: bottled water, napkins, bigger trash can, and shower mat."

Hotel Zeus ★★★
"I liked everything in general. The only thing I didn't like was bed, not that it was not comfortable, but it really makes a lot of noise. And isolation is not the best, it gives to hear everything. But, for the rest, since the sympathy of Juan (I think it was Juan) helped me to understand where I had gone to stop my food."
