"The hotel is outside the city centre and situated on a busy road. The nice building is a plus. However, the pool is not well maintained and not very inviting. Service is friendly but extremely slow and somewhat incompetent. What‘s included in the breakfast is very basic- you have to pay for everything on top. Given that the room prices are pretty high this was an unpleasant surprise. Disappointing also that you can’t even get a freshly squeezed juice in a presumed 5 star boutique hotel. There were workmen drilling whilst we had breakfast on the terrace. Coupled with the noise from the street and the loud pop music this was not what we had hoped for. Had it been half the price I would not have expected anything. At 250 Euro per night per room this is overpriced for what it offers"

"Hotel Zamna is a beautiful oasis in the heart of lovely Mérida. My wife and I stayed there twice, in February 2022 and February 23. Trip advisor would not let me indicate these dates. I had to indicate February 2025. Rosío and José are fabulous , friendly and welcoming hosts. All of the detailed posts here are spot on. One thing the comments did not mention was the interesting and world wide guests that you will meet at breakfast or in the pool. I now have an interesting "pen pal" - or now email pal from London. I would not stay anywhere else in Mérida."

"The location is just steps away from Montejo Avenue, and the rooms are very clean. It has a gym with basic but functional equipment. On the other hand, the facilities are very old. The shower head couldn't be switched between the fixed and the handheld option. There are no USB charging ports for phones, which should be standard for 4 and 5-star hotels these days. The lobby, while pleasant, is too dark, and being at the entrance, it makes the hotel look like it's not open for business. The food seemed very expensive to me; there are much better and more affordable places to eat nearby."

"We stayed for 3 days, and while the yard was quite pretty and the breakfast was decent for the price, the service left much to be desired. The room policy only allows for two bottles of water per day, meaning they wouldn't give extra and we had to wait for the next day's allocation. Most frustratingly, once the restaurant closed at night, the staff refused to provide any drinking water (or basically anything) at all. Also, basic amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes and conditioner were not provided. We ended up having to buy our own from a pharmacy. If you stay here, be prepared to bring your own essentials and stock up on water before the sun goes down."

The staff is very welcoming and available for helping with all requests. Very good breakfast. No problem to park our car in the corner street."

Our well appointed room had everything you could ask for; high ceilings, lovely light, plenty of storage, beautiful bathroom, wonderful bed, heavenly bedding and air conditioning. George and Sarah are fantastic hosts providing an unforgettable experience of feeling like you are old friends while providing space for one’s own experience. The pool/courtyard is awesome! Quiet and serene. We had an early flight and left at 5:30am and they went so far as to have coffee for us. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you, thank you! Ann and Brad Nelson"
