"We’ve been loyal customers, having stayed here several times last season, and recently returned for a new project. Unfortunately, this time, we encountered a very disappointing experience. We arrived late in the evening after a long drive, only to be told by The receptionist that we could not check in after 8:00 PM, despite our efforts to explain our situation. There was no mention of this restriction during the booking process or in the confirmation email, as shown in the screenshots I’ve given them . Out of courtesy, I had even messaged the reception earlier in the day to let them know we would be arriving by 11:00 PM, based on the suggestion from a previous stay, but the response was unhelpful and left us stranded without accommodation for the night. After driving for hours from Lucca, we were left without a place to stay, which caused great inconvenience and frustration. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident, as this level of hospitality is far from what we expected from a place we’ve enjoyed in the past."
