"We had the most wonderful time! Such a beautiful home with the most amazing and accommodating hosts. We loved every moment of it and cannot wait to be back soon!! Location was great and Max and Mery were there to guide us through any questions we had, along with giving us the best recommendations. The rooms were stunning and extremely well kept. Be sure to take Mery’s cooking class as well! It was one of the highlights of our stay. 10/10 would recommend this place!!!!"

"Staff super warm, welcoming and helpful! From the receptionists to the masseuse, super willing to help. Good choice of spa treatments, well realized. Breakfast is nice (though the piece of paper to make your choice everyday is just too big, not very environnemental friendly). HOWEVER, should you look for some privacy: this is not your place! There is only a curtain between terrasses/ jacuzzis so you can see and hear everything. About the noise, the insulation is insuffisant: if people are sitting and chatting in the communal area, if new guests are arriving, you hear everything and canno’t sleep. We took this hotel to rest and sadly this was not a proper rest. Also about privacy and resting: the door of the toilet is made of glass and is super noisy to open and close (so you easily wake up your partner when using them during the night). The shower is opened/ canno’t close and is straight in front the door of the bedroom…"

The place is charming, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything we needed to fully enjoy our stay. The large garden, dominated by a magnificent centuries-old oak tree, is a real bonus: an ideal place to relax after a day spent exploring the coast. The location is also excellent: the beach is within walking distance, and Meta is a great base for visiting Sorrento, Pompeii, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast. But what truly makes the difference is the warm and attentive welcome from the owners, who are always available to offer helpful advice and make our stay even more enjoyable. An authentic and peaceful place that we recommend without hesitation. We would gladly return! 🌿🇮🇹"

"Stay Away – Unacceptable Conditions and False Promises This hotel was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, there was no one at the reception – and this continued throughout the entire stay. The hotel feels almost unstaffed, and at night, check-out is simply impossible because there is literally no one on-site. Our room also had a severe ant infestation – they were in the bed, on the floor, and even on our personal belongings. Hygiene? Nowhere to be found. The location details are misleading: the beach is much farther away than advertised on booking platforms. If you expect “beachfront” convenience, you’ll be disappointed. Neither the hotel nor the tour operator responded constructively to complaints – no solution, no refund, no apology. Bottom line: Dirty, poorly organized, unreliable, and full of false promises. Absolutely unsuitable for a relaxing vacation."

Make sure you select a balcony, we got a french balcony which is very small to enjoy it but other than that great service, and location, a private beach and rooms. I couldn't have asked for anything less.very relaxing and great place to stay on amalfi coast. 12 min from sorrento , 23 min from positano. Had a trip of my life. Definitely will come back"

"Booked via Airbnb, the location and the building were brilliant. Such a grand building and such a beautiful beach area and a lovely restaurant or two nearby. However…. The apartment was dated, and lacked enough basics (plates, cups, glasses etc) to make breakfast enjoyable (thank goodness we only stayed one night) The previous occupants had poorly washed the few plates and glasses that were draining above the sink too. Finally, one bedroom is off another. Ok if you there with your kids but not when you’re there with another couple and they have to go through your bedroom to get to the toilet. The shower was very old and unpleasant. The listing says two bathrooms and there was only one."

"Let me start by saying that the staff were fabulous. They were so helpful and this was truly appreciated. Everything else was sadly a disappointment on all levels. We expected an amazing experience having seen the website and given the cost of the stay expected a premium experience. This wasn’t the case: the rooms are just ok, shabby in places with poor cheap blinds; the showers open to the room via the glass and there is little to no privacy. We had to ask at least twice for the water and the toiletries to be replaced after cleaning. There is no communal space for sitting or eating at all and breakfast served in your room. Curtains give privacy from your neighbours but the noise from both the other guests and those around the hotel was awful. We had to ask some neighbours on one evening to be quiet at 12.30am. Additionally, the curtains effectively create a restricted view and the infinity pool you see on the website is not a true reflection of what is available at all. You feel boxed in. The spa is nice but only available to you 1 hour per day. This is allocated by the hotel and given 1 was at midday and 2 others at 7pm we simply could not use them. As there’s nowhere to relax by a pool at the hotel or sit other than in your room you have to be out during the day. 7pm we would have been having dinner. There were no alternatives to these times so we only used the spa once. Meta is not walkable to sorrento and it’s a bus or a train ride. The area of Meta is a residential suburb with not so much to do. Overall his was an expensive mistake and we would not stay here again/ we would reconfirm less expensive places in better locations who deliver what they suggest they offer."

"THE BEST PLACE I'VE EVER STAYED. I came here on my first solo vacation and had the best experience. First, Meta is so much better than Sorrento, but don't tell anyone, I don't want it to get crowded. The hotel was easy to get to, it had easy access to the beach and restaurants, bus, and train. And then let's talk about the staff. Maria met me when I arrived and took the time to get me settled and oriented to the hotel and the town. She was very communicative throughout my stay, answered questions, and gave me advice on places to eat and activities to try. Because it was not quite the busy season, breakfast was brought to my room every morning by Assunta and she was SO wonderful as well. We had a lot of good chats and I miss her now that I'm home! I felt very safe even as a solo woman. The room was so beautiful. Fresh towels, great breakfast, hot shower, everything you could want! Do not stay here too often because I want to come back and don't want it to be full! It's my favorite hotel in the world."
