El Patio 77 was a beautiful introduction to Mexico City! My first time here and everything was perfect. It feels like you are staying in a very elegant but relaxed home, and everyone is friendly, helpful and kind. The breakfast was superb! Always fresh fruit and yogurt then a different cooked serving- cheese tortilla with avocado & tomato, or eggs with toasted cheese bread and tomato- all delicious! Our room was very comfortable and perfectly appointed. The neighborhood is interesting with many small family restaurants serving local specials, and coffee shops and bakeries. Would recommend this lovely hotel unconditionally!

On a business trip this past month, I had the pleasure of sharing an El Patio 77 stay with colleagues and my wife for four nights. Our room was very comfortable with a street view. The breakfasts were a treat, with fresh fruit, coffee, and local dishes. The staff were helpful and responsive to requests. They worked into the evening on one occasion to correct a problem. The BnB is located on a quiet street in the San Rafael part of Mexico City. There are great restaurants in the area, more than anyone can try in one trip. We hope to return.

This is one of my top two favorite hotels of all time (the other being Casa Sol, in Zipolite, Oaxaca). The room was enormous--almost more like a studio apartment than a room, with high wood beamed ceilings and artfully crafted driftwood chandeliers from above. The floor to ceiling french doors looking out on the street, which were equipped with interior wooden doors that we could bar closed at night, shutting out noise and light when we wanted to sleep (and ensuring total safety, of course, too--not that we ever felt unsafe in this neighborhood at any point) and made the room look almost Parisian. The bed was huge, and extremely comfortable, with a perfect mattress and high quality sheets and pillows, as well as a lovely woven Oaxacan runner that picked up the colors and patterns of the woven rug. All of the furniture was gorgeous mid-century modern, rich wood and clever angles, and the details of the lighting, couch, and shelving were perfect. I would be happy to live in that room alone, but the shared areas made the place even better. Elvia made everyone feel at home, whether in the shared sitting room, the dining area (equipped with a great selection of books about Mexico City's arts, culture, history, foods, and more) and the inviting, flower filled entryway. But even more, it was the extremely friendly way she knew to suggest activities, foods, and other destinations for visitors, and to welcome you home. We also had laundry done for a very small fee, and when we came back from a night out with a huge leftover container of delicious birria, she invited us to store it in the fridge and help ourselves to it later as we would have in our own home. The neighborhood is perfect--lively, interesting, a real neighborhood for a range of incomes and ages of people, and always full of people walking even late at night, which to indicates its safety.

Among the hundreds of options between Condesa and Roma Norte, this place is a gem! The place is really unique and the attention to detail was on point. For instance, they had sturdy umbrellas you could borrow which I did end up using as I went during the rainy season. Our room was super clean and the place itself is quiet. We loved the warm hospitality from the staff including the owner’s dog Bonito. The neighborhood itself isn’t bad. I felt like a local walking through. The only downside we experienced was the Uber wait times are longer than usual and most your food options are further away. But that is no fault to the hotel. I would book here again!

This is a delightful and beautiful guesthouse- so tastefully decorated with warm and friendly hosts. They gave me some good tips for getting around solo, helped me with getting a SIM card and made me feel welcome. The bed was super comfortable and my room was peaceful and a real sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and generous serving which kept me going through the day.

We stayed for 3 nights in the enormous Oaxaca bedroom. Room very quiet, comfortable large bed. Very pleasant and the manager and staff could not be more hospitable. Very helpful with ideas and directions. Good cooked breakfast + fruit and yogurt. Taxi took 30 minutes to/from the airport. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at El Patio 77 for 6 nights. We came to Mexico City to celebrate the Day of the Dead and our Anniversary. This is a lovely hotel, well staffed and well situated. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is very good and our room, the Chiapas suite, is beautiful, well funished and very comfortable. The hotel is close to several subway stations and it is easy to get around by using Uber. A wonderful local market is just around the corner. Thanks to Elvia and her staff for celebrating our anniversary with us and for making us feel like valued guests. We had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this hotel.

We loved staying at El Patio 77 and would definitely stay there again. The room is exactly what is described on the website. The whole place was decorated beautifully and we loved the staff. Everyone that works there was so nice and welcoming. The breakfast served in the morning was perfect to start the day. They usually serve coffee, fresh juice, yogurt with fruit and granola, and some sort of authentic Mexican breakfast item like Molletes. They provide purified water daily in your room and they are within walking distance to a couple good restaurants. We like La Tia and El Asadero.
