Blue Chip Casino Hotel and Spa Reviews

Blu chips spa tower is my favorite place to stay when I visit Michigan City IN. The rooms are always clean and so spacious and up to date. The bathroom Vanity has plenty of room for necessities. There are ample outlets for phone chargers and watch chargers next to each side of the beds.

They have a private hot tub and sauna on the spa floor that’s so relaxing. The workers were all really nice and sweet, hooked us up w amazing food at infusion. The pool was closed but we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and shower felt nice.

Great value for a family trip. Best in warm weather for visiting Washington Park Beach and Indiana Dunes, with plenty of local favorites nearby. (I would recommend the Spa Tower over the slightly older BC Tower. The BC Tower has a ******, so there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke from the entrance, but the non-smoking guest floors were fine.)

Everything is good and perfect

Room was just okay 1). Sink was clogged and barely drained 2) shower had mold in all the corners 3) shower door didn’t close correctly which resulted       In water all over the floor when finished. 4) safe needed a battery Other than that our stay was enjoyable!😃

Very clean and huge space!

It was a good experience only issues we had the price for the food at the cafe was too high and wasn’t worth the food quality. The sink was stopped up and it had to be before we checked in. I had to call twice to get it fixed and when maintenance came he took a lot of hair out of the sink. The Housekeeper should have beet reported it. The Check in Lady was very friendly, sweet and helpful since it was our first time Visiting. She was suppose to give me a discount because the pool was closed due to maintenance I was looking forward to the pool and hot tub. I didn’t see the discount on my bill and if someone respond to this review we would still like that credit.  Some of the staff could be more friendly and make their guests feel welcomed. Some didn’t speak at all passing by them in the hallways.

Both beds in our room had stains on the sheets, one of them being a shoe print. Pretty gross. ****** was fun, pool was closed for maintenance. Lots of comparable options nearby that I will go to next time.

I am torn with this one so I'll list both the pros and the cons, starting with the bad parts to get that out of the way: 1) The pool was closed due to a part missing, and we only found out at check-in. I work in property management, so I know how hard it can be to keep a property fully operational 365 days per year. I still have a hard time understanding how a resort can find itself with a missing pool part in the middle of the season! And not give a heads up to guests before they arrive! 2) For that inconvenience, all we were offered were two (2) $10 vouchers to the spa... which was already closed for the day and was not going to reopen for 4 days! What kind of hotel calls itself a resort if the spa is closed 3 days per week?! And even if that's how you normally operate, wouldn't you think to change the schedule when the pool breaks down in the middle of the summer and you decide that spa vouchers are the way to compensate guests for the inconvenience?? For the good parts: 1) Parking was free. 2) Drinks were cheap at the ******. 3) Room was clean (we had a bad view but not much can be done about that I guess). Two (2) final comments I'll call "neutral": 1) the mattress was a bit too firm and the pillows too thin for me. But I'm not counting that as a bad thing since that's more of a personal preference. 2) I'm not a huge gambler but I thought the sportsbook was small. I understand it's not meant to be Vegas but again, if you're going to advertise yourself as a ****** resort, I just expected bigger. This part wasn't an inconvenience on my trip but I might as well mention it.

I enjoyed the general experience, having never been to Michigan City. I expected a little more in terms of things to do. The hotel pool was closed the entirety of my stay, was unable to get a reason as to why. However, the stay itself was pretty good,

Check in and check was very easy and friendly staff. The room very large and clean. Not a very good view of the nuclear plant. However we only stayed one night. The only issue I had, I left a blouse behind in the room after I checked out, I called as soon as I left to tell the hotel. They transferred my to security Know one took my information. I stopped back at the hotel at night after coming back through town later that night and the staff had no idea what I was talking about. I called again the next morning a very nice lady at security took all my information. She checked on my blouse and still it was not turned it in. .I literally left it right on the bed and told security where I left it they assured me the staff is excellent at turning items into lost and found. At this point still is lost! very frustrating.

The pool was closed the entire three days we were there. We supposedly got a lake view room, but both the words "lake" (a actually some weird industrial canal) and "view" (of the absolutely MASSIVE smoke stack) are doing some real heavy lifting. The restaurants had weird very limited hours, and the choices were either a very expensive steakhouse, or a glorified Panera. The ****** slots were like Temu versions of themed slots in better *******. The lobby, halls, and room were all very clean, I'll say that. And the staff we encountered were very nice. But we got bored fast.

Everything went perfectly; we were in group of 8; 4 different rooms, all on same floor. The hotel was very nice, had great live entertainment. Every service staff we met was friendly & professional and I love, Love, LOVED the pool & hot tubs area… it was perfect!

Wasn’t informed the pool was closed prior to booking. Would be nice to sit at the bars within the ******.
