This is a great example of how an old property can be renovated and decorated with love for its history while providing all modern facilities of today. And that in the middle of stunning surroundings; the water nearby, herds of deer and a beautiful garden. The terrace with garden view offers the perfect place for an aperitif.

I would have so much liked to rave about the food, the location and the service! But all my pleasant memories have been erased by a very unpleasant "handling fee" for lost and found items, which the hotel forced me to pay online through a fake-service called FAUNDIT. I do not mind at all paying the full UPS shipping fee to my home address, after having forgotten my computer charger back at some hotel room! What I do mind though, are greedy hotel managers (and their collaborating profiteers!) who will double this shipping price by inventing some imaginary service fee for a common decency that should be self-evident, especially at a four star hotel.

Our first time here. I came in for business and I brought my very active 92 year old mother with me to enjoy the country. We were very pleased with this property. It's an old castle. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Grounds are immaculate. Hotel is in a national park/game preserve. Excellent food.

Not great. The room was microscopic - about 10 sq m. No fridge, no kettle, few of the amenities that would be expected in a first-class hotel. The staff were all very pleasant, and the location is excellent. However, I can't overcome the feeling that this establishment are not trying to provide the best guest experience.

Very nice gardens. The rooms are quite small. Breakfast is good. Dinner in the Café had less ambiance compared to the dining room.

What a fantastic venue for the MG Car Club European Event of the Year 2023, to celebrate 100 years of the MG marque and 50 years of the Danmark MG Car Club. I consider the conference facilities the best I have encountered in my 30 plus years of working in such venues to deliver training course for clients. The food was excellent, especially the event dinner on the Saturday (head chef: Andy, from the Reading area in the UK). The waiting staff were attentive, professional, organised and friendly - a big well done to every one of the team. The grounds are spectacular, with trees and shrubs and walks to the coastline. I even enjoyed a quick swim off the hotel’s very own pontoon. I saw dolphins in the sea! The bedroom in the new stables building was comfortable, nicely appointed and clean. In summary, this venue is simply the best!
