"Very disappointing experience with Tru by Hilton Midland East. We booked two rooms using Hilton Honors points, checked in through the Hilton app, received room assignments, and received an email confirming our digital key request that stated nothing else was needed. We also have screenshots showing we called the hotel before midnight, and during that call the hotel confirmed our rooms were across from each other. When we arrived around 3:00 AM, we were told the reservation had been marked as a no-show, but they still manually let us into the rooms. The next morning, we were told we should be good to go because the rooms were paid with points. Later, our card was charged $170.77 per room, even though the stay still shows as canceled in the Hilton app. Manager Krista Wright refused to refund the charges and sent an email stating this could be reported to fraud and our Hilton Honors account could be suspended. We also found proof that another reservation was created under our account before we arrived and then canceled, which we did not authorize. To us, this shows the hotel knew there was an issue and was trying to fix it by creating new reservations without our consent. We are escalating this with Hilton and fighting the charges."

"The hotel is brand new, opened a week ago. We were driving through Midland and stayed for one night. Check-in was very quick, and we paid a $50 deposit, which was returned immediately upon checkout. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff was very welcoming. There's an H&B supermarket nearby (in the next building), and there's also a 24-hour convenience store on the ground floor. They didn't offer the famous cookies, but that wasn't a big deal for us."

"Arrived at the hotel in the evening only to find the elevator not functioning. We had only made the reservations the day before and there was nothing on the listing to indicate there was a problem. The Desk clerk made it seem like it was our issue since we booked on Trip.com so they didn't have our info to inform us that there was a problem with the elevator, which I believe is a cop out these places like to hide behind whenever there is any kind of an issue, as if they actually would have informed us if we booked through their website. The issue with the elevator is that we were put on the top floor (4th) and we are senior citizens. We asked if there were any rooms on lower floors and of course the answer was no because we booked through a third party. I'm getting real tired of these folks hiding behind the third party thing. Horrible service, snooty desk clerk who really could have cared less"

"Came here on a business trip to visit clients. It's a small chain hotel run by Indians. The environment is not good and the hygiene is not very clean. The cleaner is an Indian boy. It seems that men have to do this job. After communication, I was given a bed sheet covering a dirty sofa. The bed sheet is clean. The occupancy rate is high because it is cheap and is washed frequently."

"Much better than the last time and I am absolutely grateful that we could work things out and the staff was amazing and the communication has definitely gotten so much better and what a blessing may all are so from my last review till now please exclude that I was disrespectful I wasn’t understanding And they have things going on that they had no control over and I should have been a better person which I was not absolutely amazing staff blessed by God and a heart of gold and I’m thankful that they took my apology for my rudeness of the last review. It was an all God trip this time and that’s the only way I can say it is Love God first and the things that we do wrong he’ll help correct even if we’re stubborn old mules, and I’m just thankful that they forgave me and what a blessed visit it was I’m cleaning this was 100%. They went above and beyond on all levels and just so much more so don’t question when you stay here I never will again they are very forgiving people even when we make mistakes and get misconstrued and I’m grateful for that, I thank God for this visit again and the ability to have a safe place to stay and very caring and loving people All ages  and hearts of gold so the one thing I can say I’ve learned all this before we use our sharp tongues and source to tear somebody down or tear a place down. Remember our wrongs cause no one is perfect even if we have to eat the crow at least do it with learning and understanding that the next time that could actually hurt a business and take away from them and that’s not right beyond lovely people people of God I’m grateful for everything and anything and I can’t say in detail, but I just can’t say enough that treat him like gold. They deserve it. Don’t treat him like crap. We’re all human. Please remember that God gave us a chance to love and cheer people up. Remember, they have good days and bad days too like we do. They deserve respect, honor, and being treated like class not beneath our feet, and these people are way above and honorable and classy, and I’m thankful for them! y’all have a blessed day just remember who you tear down you may not get a second chance to fix it hope and pray that God will let you fix it his way not our way. Thank you to the amazing staff the building and everything I was truly blessed to just be in the presence of y’all and magnificent of being around y’all and your nice building and I thank God for people like you have an absolutely blessed day and trust God with your life you’ll fix what we can’t fix!"
