I have to admit, I had a fabulous time here at the hotel. We went with several family’s and enjoyed the hustle and bustle. The entertainment team are particularly friendly and attempt to include all nationalities in all the activities. The cleaning team made an amazing job of regularly cleaning and making the bedrooms each day. They forgot to replace our towels, but we alerted reception on the way to dinner and when we returned to our room the towels had been replaced. I have read some reviews on here about a few members of staff being rude or grumpy, and on a few occasions at breakfast and the pool bar I did see this behaviour. However when the staff got to know us and we got over the language barrier they couldn’t do enough to help. Raul was laughing and joking by the end of the week and he made some amazing cocktails. I suppose what I’m saying is that people demand customer service but don’t show the respect that’s occasionally needed. If your rude to staff .. don’t expect the red carpet treatment. The hotel is looking a little aged, but view and location is amazing, close to Mijas and a short taxi ride/ bus to the beach. The Buffett food got a little repetitive but was cooked well and they had plenty of options for all ages. Thanks for a great stay .. see you again one day …

The hotel is really nice very big, the food was buffet style but plenty of choice... Our room was sufficient clean but view was of a tall building at the back that was being renovated which was horrible... Ask for a room looking over the pool and gardens. Couldn't fault the prices in the bar... The entertainment was aimed totally at Spanish people they took over the dance floor every night... The pool was very disappointing as was open for two days then the Manager took the decision to close it ... We were shocked as the weather was beautiful. we were told swim in doors ... l think he missed the point as l have to swim indoors all the year around that's why l save up and go to Spain...he was obnoxious....

I really liked this hotel. I got a room with a balcony, loads of sunshine. It was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were absolutely lovely at every turn. The location is dead center so you can walk to any beach,or the bus terminal one block away allows you to go anywhere in the Costa Del Sol I will check the prices at this hotel first before I choose anywhere else and I’ve been coming here for 20 years.

Nice hotqel in good location, close to the railway station from Malaga Airport which is a no brainer of a way to get to Fuengirola. Our room was of good size with a massive comfortable bed and air-conditioning, two things which let it down was the dated bathroom with a shower in a bath which was a challenge getting in and out, also the balcony, even though it had a really good sea view, once you sat down it had a solid wall around it so you had no view at all other than the walls. Staff very obliging and nice bar area on the ground floor, if you like a pool holiday the pool area is very small with limited sun beds.

Today is 28 September 2022 and my daughter Jill's memory on Facebook was of us sitting in the Lomond Lounge at Glasgow Airport before our flight on 28 September 2019, looking forward to another enjoyable holiday at Hotel IPV Palace & Spa. Little did we know that the dreaded COVID pandemic was on the horizon and would almost bring the world to a stop. I have worked from home since 17 March 2020 and have never been on a bus or a train since then never mind an aeroplane. Looking at the memory prompted me to look at my previous reviews and I found that I did not submit a review for that visit. I know it is a bit late in the day however I want the people who read reviews before deciding on their destination to know that this hotel is first class in every way. Perfect location with unbeatable sea view, comfortable beds, scrupulously clean, powerful shower with constant hot water, good food and most important of all the wonderful, friendly, efficient staff. Our Jet2 Holiday was stress free throughout the flight and we were quickly through customs and luggage carousel at Malaga. The transfer to the hotel was pleasant and the driver wheeled my cases up to the entrance. I hesitated, looked around and felt I was back to my happy place. Walking through reception, smiles were coming in our direction before we reached the desk. Warm welcome as we checked in, asked for a kettle which was delivered to the room shortly afterwards. We couldn’t resist one of the delicious fruity boiled sweets which always sit in a bowl on the desk. Once again, we were on the top floor of the Cesares building. Cases discarded, balcony door opened, elbows on the balcony and taking in the panoramic sea view with the ever present sound of the waves … the most relaxing sound in the world. Housekeeping do a brilliant job, the room was pristine and the bathroom gleaming. Toiletries etc. available in case there was something we had forgotten to pack. Wherever we went in the hotel from Beach Bar, Dona Lola Restaurant, Lobby Bar and Shop we caught up with people we have got to know over the years. They all gave us a lovely welcome and hugs all round. Now most of the people reading this will want to know about the restaurant and quality of food. The Dona Lola Restaurant is spacious and all the tables are covered with lovely crisp fresh tablecloths with proper napkins. Weather permitting; we always opt to eat outside on the terrace, part of which is covered. Their breakfasts make a great start to the day. You can choose a cooked breakfast accompanied by eggs any which way you like … omelette, poached, boiled, scrambled (sorry no Cadbury’s chocolate ones). The continental breakfast is also delicious with a good choice of meats, cheeses, etc. Cava is available and with the fresh fruit juices you can easily mix yourself a Bucks Fizz or Bellini. We visited the Holiday World resort end of May/June. On arrival we were impressed with the swift check in. As we had arrived at 9pm the hotel had kindly left us plates of food in our fridge in case we were hungry. We stayed in room 531 and had a fabulous view of the pool and the sea. The rooms are spacious and are equipped with a kitchen, large bathroom with separate bath and shower, front room with sofa bed and large bedroom. There was access to the large balcony area from both the front room and bedroom. Food is your usual All Inclusive. There was always plenty, everything was constantly replenished and the staff in the restaurant are brilliant and clearing plates or getting you a table quickly when you walk in. We enjoyed the food and always found something delicious to eat. We also booked both the Italian and Burger restaurants at the resort. The food at both was amazing and the waiters and waitresses can’t do enough for you. The pool is good and there are lots of brilliant activities run by the entertainment team. The lifeguards are very observant and constantly checking everyone is safe. Plenty of sun beds and shade if needed. The snack bar around the pool has all the usual hot and cold food along with ice cream and cakes. You can also purchase crisps and branded ice creams from the bar. The daily entertainment includes a pool party, quizzes, bingo and various inflatables for the children to have a go on. The Waterpark was fun and the kids enjoyed going there. You can hire large rubber rings for the water slides. The restaurant there is also plentiful. The evening entertainment is fabulous for the kids. The team are very friends, enthusiastic and energetic which keeps the children happy. There are different parts of the evening from the Widgets, PTY, dancing, quiz's and an evening show! It’s all based on the outdoor theatre and with the visual screen laying makes it very engaging. We went to the beach and hired some very luxurious sun beds with thick cushions and a towel for €12 and worth every penny! Overall this holiday was for kids and to keep them entertained which is exactly what it did. It is a clean, bright resort with food and drink available all day. We love our stay and would definitely return.

The English at the front desk is not particularly good. The buffet dinner is more cost-effective than the surrounding Italian restaurants. The daughter is 15 years old and counts as a child. In the hotel you can see the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel pool is very iced. It is recommended to put some towels next to the hotel. The night view around the hotel is beautiful, and there is a very meaningful museum.
