Hotels near Via Manzoni in Milan

Slightly outdated rooms... hence the 4 star rating. Mind though it may be a little outdated, everything is clean ..!!! And well maintained !!! Staff are very friendly, helpful and speak perfect English. Though the hotel/motel is close the motorway, you don’t have any hinder of noise when windows are closed. The rooms are fitted with air conditioning..!!! Restaurant offers a small menu / a la cart but good verity of food options. Secure parking is provided at no extra cost. Breakfast is perfect and beyond expectations..!! Having travelled for the last 2 weeks... I had not been offered such variety at previous hotels (even at higher prices) As for price/quality and staff relation it is clearly 5 out of 5. Certainly worth a stay for one or even multiple nights.

Hotel location wise was near to Milan city but the train interval was not that frequent. Hotel room was clean (except bathroom curtain) but lacking of many things such as complimentary drinking water.

I was so happy that the hotel is located 300m away from the metro station that has elevator and escalator access. I was carrying a luggage that is 40kg over and I’m happy that the metro it’s not far from the hotel. The hotel staffs upon checking was very nice and I decided to extend 1 more day and the staff was happy to assist me on that. My room was at level 6 which is great because I prefer staying at high floor (level 7 was the highest). When I inspect the room upon checking-in, it was very clean althought they only provide soap, shampoo, towels & toilet rolls. No toothbrush etc. which I don’t mind at all because I brought my own. The housekeeping was great although some only speak Italian and don’t understand English but they did their job in cleaning my room every single day, just like how I entered it on the first day. They did change the towels to fresh towels and make my bed. Overall, I will stay again at this hotel whenever I’m in Milan.

Together with my friends, I booked 2 rooms for my family, one for me and my husband and one for my teenage boys. I requested 2 twin beds for my sons but they gave one double bed, I did not asked to change since we were tired and needed to rest badly plus they can fit anyway even they're adult sizes already. Our room on our first night were very warm and my friends said that was their room the night before us. So the following morning I complained and they were willing to change it but since we need to leave right away and got back to the hotel past midnight from our day trip I didn't asked and told myself since it will be our last night anyway we'll just keep it. But to our surprise, our room was flooded, water dripping from the ceiling considering there are 2 floors above us, the gentleman at the reception said because it rained. They gave us the room next door and yet it is flooded too, bed sheets were soaked already from the water on the floor. I requested a room across that side to avoid another flooded room, yes it was not flooded but the closet door was missing and the bed skirt was really black stained from the dirt. It was 2 am and I don't mind to check furthermore. The good thing we had was the food, my kids enjoyed them a lot, the staff were nice though. An experience to remember on our vacation. Oh by the way, there's free bugs at the resto (it's next to garden anyway :)

We arrived in Bergamo airport via Ryan air and quickly bought tickets for the bus transfer into Milan Centrale station for 12 euros each. It being a Friday evening the traffic was fairly heavy and instead of the transfer taking 50 minutes it took and hour and 5 minutes but that was understanable on a Friday evening especially as the area had just had a heavy rain storm. We arrived in Milan Centrale and if we had taken a correct turn we would have arrived at the Grand Doria Hotel after a six minute walk. Sadly we turned the wrong way (mainly in part to a review on this site that told us to walk right at the Star Hotel. You dont. There is a Star Hotel on either side of the road. Walk between them and it's left from the station car park). Once we arrived (45 minutes after getting off the bus) we were presented with a beautiful hotel. It's been around since the turn of the 20th century and has kept that look whilst being descretely updated for the 21st century. We checked in quickly and was told that the resturant was closing in ten minutes so instead we bought some supplies from the Carrfour Extra supermarket which is located across the road and to the left. The hotel room itself was lovely. A massive bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a lovely bathroom with a toilet, shower, bath and bidea and all decked out in marble. The room had a good size television mounted to the wall opposite the bed (around 42 inch tv is my guess) and was in high definition. The breakfast, which was included, was excellent. Cereal, cheeses, figs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage (hot dog, european, style) juices, fresh coffee and tea, croissants, and plenty of other pastries. The choice was huge. We spent the day in Milan and then in the evning looked for somewhere to eat. Around the hotel choices were limited and closer to the centre Milan was heaving with people so we chose to eat in one of the two resturants the hotel had to offer. We ate in the Cafe Doria. My Wife had a delicious pasta dish and I had the veal escolope with a citrus sald and we shared a green salad. We alos had a large bottle of water between us and I had a very nice glass of red wine suggested by the maitre de. The total for this was 55 euro and was very reasonable. The maitre de even chased after us after we left to make sure we took the rest of the bottle of water with us. He was a lovely man. I highly recommend this hotel. It's location is good. Far enough away from the centre of Milan that you don't have to suffer with the noice of the city and close enough that it's a three minute walk to the nearest Metro station (2 euros for 90 mins of unlimited travel) and a 6 minute walk to the main station. It's beautifully kept, the staff are very friendly and it's well worth it's four stars. Normally they charge 285 euros per night but we managed to get the room for two nights for 250 euros. A bargain and well worth it. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 4 nights on a city break. Wanted a central hotel, and this was perfect. The location in Porto Venizia is ideal. Firstly, in this district there are bars, shops, restaurants and all you need right on your doorstep and secondly it's close to the metro to get your going in any direction in minutes. (Duomo is 3/4 stops on the metro) Next door the restaurant is excellent, especially the lasagne (all portions are large). Next door to that, the cafe (go here for the ginseng coffee) this is outstanding here. The hotel is basic but very clean and pleasant. Staff are nice and accommodating. The room was basic but, was large, had a fridge, nice size bathroom and our window opened up to the front of the hotel and the view was our favourite thing about this hotel. We skipped breakfast, so we don't know what this was like. Drinks are available in the lobby, and prices are fair. Disappointed with the 'gym' as a fitness lover, this was not worth mentioning.. (skipped my session as it was so bad) more like a closet - no dumbells, 3 machines, nothing else. I'd recommend this hotel for the area, the value, the convenience, and the location overall. I'm glad we decided to stay here in Milan.

Nice business hotel. Very clean and modern rooms. Highly recommended, however: Arrived on a hot day and room was sweltering as aircon had not been switched on. Aircon cannot be set below 23 Celsius (***?). Also tv does not include CNN, BBC 1 or many german channels which are there, but not activated. No french channels at all. Small things make a big difference… Shame as the hotel is otherwise fit for purpose. Good car park and pets allowed (both for a 10 euro per day fee). Someone in the Amedia management was never a business or pleasure traveller.

Motel in the countryside , very comfortable to park the car free of charge, with always open and fast receipt in the recording operations at arrival. Large and logically communicating room with the corridor going to the room bathing . Breakfast rich in sweet and salty and fresh fruit and a great coffee and excellent hot drinks . Soundless rooms. Large-screen TV with so many programmes. A pleasant experience . nice and pleasant staff. It is the real American design motel, so every room must have free parking for its own car

Wonderful place to stay in! The hotel is comfortable and nice, staff is very, very friendly and the rooms are clean. The rooms have lovely balconies. Soundproofing was bad though - I could hear everything happening in the corridor. Also there was a (locked) door leading from my room to the one next to me and when my ”neighbour” was taking a shower or watching TV, I could hear everything so well that I woke up one morning my shower was on. The location is bit weird, but worth the train ride and walk.

The location is on the tangent, so if you have no vehicle, it is difficult to move. The structure is provided with a Navetta service limited to free and pay-per-pay hours. On the first day we didn't know where to take the ship and we had a little problem but with a few calls they reached us so I must say that they are really available. The hotel is quiet, with a huge breakfast room and the possibility of dining in the restaurant. Federico alla reception che ci ha servito per il check in e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni e ha aiutato con le nostre richieste di navetta (il conducente a volte e intrapreso in altre attività e non volevamo creare disturbi avvisando un po 'prima della nostra richiesta). All very nice, with my wife pregnant at 5 months we had no problems, rooms with large and clean beds, quite silent and four lifts, I'll certainly return with children in the future.
