Hotels near Museo del Design 1880-1980 in Milan

The hotel is very nice, the location is good, the breakfast is also very good, and the service is very considerate. I emailed the things to be printed to the hotel, and they lay on the shelf firmly waiting to be picked up the next morning.

This is a beautiful hotel and we had a great time. The hotel was nice a clean, had a nice garden, the restaurant was nice and the bar was open until late. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room was nice and spacious, aircon was great, the mini bar was well stocked and the maid came everyday. Our view out the window was nice too, we could see the cobbled streets and the tram passing by, it kind of looked like a postcard. The restaurant was nice, staff was friendly and if you like traditional Italian food then you would enjoy it. The breakfast was also nice we went down every morning, it was the same thing everyday but that was ok because it was good food. Only thing is tho, there were no omelettes as standard, I think they could have made you one but you had to pay extra (€8) Let’s talk about the bar. The bar was amazing, not only was it open til late but the bar staff were very knowledgeable on anything drink related. There wasn’t a drink that the lovely Henry or Paulo couldn’t make you. Whilst I am on the Henry and Paulo subject, I’d like to take this opportunity to just say how amazing they are. They introduced themselves and asked our names and it was lovely service ever since. They made us feel welcome, kept the amazing drinks flowing, learnt early on what kind of drinks we liked and kept the drinks coming. The service from them two was absolutely outstanding and we would visit again just to see them. They are real assets to the hotel. Thank you. The hotel itself is not far away from the duomo. We just took the subway, it was 3 stops. Once you get to the duomo you can also do the bus tours, we did the 4 tours over 48 hours which was nice. We also did the canal cruise which wasn’t far from the hotel too. Immediately outside the hotel you can also hire bikes and scooters. You just have to download the app if you haven’t already and go. All in all the hotel was great, service was great, location was great and we love Henry.

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in a convenient location to the main attractions and amenities of Milan, a 5 minute walk in a safe location. The hotel is known for its' business travelers which is how we knew of the hotel from my husband's previous stays. It is clean and well appointed with a spacious lobby, restaurant and bar along with a large dining room on the lower level serving their breakfast buffet. The room was large,comfortable with an additional small sofa which was also a pull out bed. Multiple charges available. The bathroom was well outfitted with great fluffy towels. Generous breakfast buffet offered hot and cold items with a varied selection, even offering Proseco for those who wanted to make mimosas. Staff at the desk gracious and accommodating to questions and requests. Efficient in arranging our car transportation to the airport on departure.

Apart from the noisy construction work right at the front door, there is nobody to assist with arrival, luggage, and no concierge either. Only ever one person on the front desk and not very happy either! A taxi will drop you on the road out front and then it’s up to you. Booked a Junior Suite for over €300 and it just was not up to standard. Lousy plumbing (not new to old Italian buildings), noisy, dull with lots of confusing light switches, air-con that sounds like a jumbo jet, and no tissues in bathrooms. So does that sound 5 Star? This hotel must have had some prestige back in the day but it would struggle to make a 3 Star ranking today. Location is not good either. Surrounded by graffiti and dirty looking buildings. A decent walk to Duomo, allow at least 15 minutes and very difficult to access Milano Central Station: at least 30 minutes and €30 in a taxi as the traffic is terrible with all the roadworks. We were in Milan for a couple of days in August 22. This hotel is only one kilometre from the centre in Milan but it’s not in a great area. Positives. - The hotel in lovely inside and is built to a high specification. - The staff were all very friendly and could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. - the WiFi is absolutely brilliant. - You’re a 12 minute walk from Milan Cathedral Less positive - this doesn’t appear to be in a great area. It’s hard to find a bar or restaurant close by - There’s a lot of work being carried out in the roadway almost right outside so it appears to be like a building site. - It’s a busy hotel, so at checkout / checkin time it’s carnage. The foyer is pandemonium and littered with lots of cases and lots of Taxis etc piled up outside. Not a massive problem, but just one to be aware of. - Our room had a terrible view into a dirty apartment block

It is good to find such a hotel in Milan at this price. Although it is a little expensive, it is worth it. The rooms have been upgraded and the view is particularly good. I also helped park the car in the garage 100 years ago.

It was really surprising me how great this hostel it is. The receptions are welcoming, super helpful, all of them can speak in English. They always ensure you know that they are their if you need anything, yes 24hours 7 days. Building is modern build, great design and very artistic. I love some of their chairs. Room is good, clean everyday, making bed every day. Toilet is clean. Breakfast are good , many choices for both food and drink. Superb location. Absolutely love it and if I ever am going to Milan again, I will absolutely book this again. Thank you guys.

Il soggiorno è stato piacevole, in una struttura ben attrezzata, oltre che iconica per la presenza di arredi e richiami all'arte moderna. Ambiente suggestivo, camere razionali e molto spaziose. Il bagno, come la camera, pulitissimi. Caro il parcheggio interno. Veramente un esperienza positiva che ha coniugato la sensazione di eleganza, con il piacere del design coinvolgente. Consigliato

Very good location; 5 mins walk from the station and 20mins walk to Duomo. Easy access to the Metro as well. The lady at reception who welcomed us when we arrived was very nice (half pony tail and blond). The phone in the room doesnt work; had to go down to ask for a kettle. The room is really small though as well as the bed. Great that they allow us to store the luggage before check in and after check out. View from the room overlooking the station is not bad. Not noisy.
