We were welcomed here at the last minute after Manzoni Elements apartments let us down ( we had booked sea view rooms and got rooms overlooking buildings - with no apology and no room change offered as they were full ) the staff at La Bussola were extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were a good size, clean and modern. Breakfast was great, we have no complaints.

Location good if you want to use the ferry but not near the beach. Hotel service from reception was excellent but other things not so good. Room was fine clean and large. Had a coffee machine but no cups. Couldn't work the shower they came up to show us how and they could work it either. Got there in the end. Breakfast was poor and cold. we were only here 1 night so it worked.

Hotel located near the see. It's not the best view because there was a crane there and a big car ship in front of hotel. It is walking dinstance from nice bars and restaurants where they server very good food. Very friendly staff that gave us directions of locations we could go to. This is a good starting point if you want to visit some of the islands.

Extremely convenient for the port and ferries and next door to parking. Our room was lovely although doors on wardrobe didn't shut properly and safe didn't work. Breakfast was a small range but all we needed. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was spacious with a good sized bathroom.

After a sailing accident landed my father in the hospital in Milazzo, I had to find a hotel to stay in and chose La Bussola Hotel. I ended up spending a total of 11 nights here, so became very acquainted with the hotel and area. From the moment I checked in, I was so impressed with the excellent customer service I received from the hotel staff. Simona went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as possible, providing recommendations, extending my stay as needed, etc. I don’t speak Italian, and everyone was great with speaking english. The location is absolutely ideal, located right across from the harbor and within a 5-10 minute walk to many wonderful restaurants and shops. The room was very comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. The included buffet breakfasts in the morning were delicious and as soon as they saw me they brought me my coffee without my even having to ask and would then bring my car up right away. This was a very stressful time under the circumstances, and I feel grateful to have found this place to stay with these kind, helpful people, while managing everything with my dad in the hospital. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. A+ all around, Grazie!

Very clean and modern. Comfortable room. Short walk to the ferry docks and shops and restaurants. So, this was very convenient to catch our boat tour of the Aeolian Islands the next morning. It is on a somewhat busy street right along the harbor, but noise was not an issue. The staff were terrific. They parked the car for us, and in all respects were very helpful throughout our stay. An example: our car had some bird droppings on it from a previous location, so I asked for some paper towel to clean it up. Instead, the women at the front desk cleaned it off for us! Unbelievable! Breakfasts were very good with a nice selection to satisfy anyone.

The hotel is modern, and the staff very accommodating e.g. we just stopped our car outside and they took it around the corner to find a free parking place and they found a conference room for my wife to do an online meeting from in the middle of the day on which we were checking out. The staff speak English if needed. We had a room with a view of the sea (albeit through cranes on the dockside). The room was a reasonable size. We only had breakfasts in the hotel, which were a pretty standard buffet, so cannot comment on the restaurant for lunch or dinner. There is a basic gym on the top floor. The hotel is very well located for ferries to the aeolian islands. The only negative is the location, which is a five minute walk from the centre of town and the immediate surroundings aren’t pretty. However, this is reflected in the price, which I thought was great value. Milazzo is a working city but the castle and the Pool of Venus at the extreme north of the peninsula are worth visiting. There is also a good value bar/restaurant (Lido la Fenice) on the Western side of the peninsula about half an hour’s walk from the hotel if you want to see the sun setting.

We stayed at this hotel in May of 2022 for 5 nights. We found Milazzo to be a much more interesting city than the guide books might say. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for us to try the beaches, but we had some amazing meals and we really enjoyed our stay at La Bussola hotel. Especially, Simona at the front desk. She went out of her way to be as welcoming and helpful as possible. Also, I had emailed the hotel prior to our arrival and requested an electric tea kettle in the room and it was there when we arrived. Service was excellent at this property.

Bisogna dare i giusti meriti quando si migliora e ci si mette tutto l'impegno possibile per essere una struttura ottima con un personale eccellente pronto ad accogliere nel migliore dei modi il cliente. Seconda esperienza presso questa struttura che è migliorata tantissimo. Colazione abbondante e con una scelta ottima di ogni prodotto. Camere pulite, panorama fantastico e staff molto gentile e piacevole. Sicuramente ritorneremo molto volentieri. Complimenti a tutta la struttura e allo staff!
