The hotel is very well located, right on the beach. Service very good. Food was also good, more "freshly cooked" food could be offered. Very good value for money.

Like another review said, there are so many simple small things this hotel gets wrong, that add up to make it nowhere near a 5* resort. From the moment we entered: no one greets you to take your bags, unlike Turkish/ Egyptian / Asia stays. The man on the desk rushed us up/ down steps & gestured to our room down a corridor, rather than taking us there & making us feel welcomed. He was the least welcoming front of house staff I've met. Room was small - no place to store or unpack cases. Just enough room to turn around in the bathroom, no toiletry storage space. The hotel rectified this on the 2nd day with a huge apartment - but I don't believe any room for a 5* should be this small. Both rooms had ant issues all over the balcony, making it impossible to enjoy the balcony area. When you get to the room, you can't use the mini fridge for your own items. But the hotel has no access to any drinking water, except at breakfast time or paying an extortionate €5 for small bottle (plus "service" charge) - at evening meals you cannot get water unless you pay, again the hotel rectified this it's crazy they take away the breakfast water just to exploit you for more €€. The staff all agreed but all said "sorry it's the rules we are told to follow" The service at the bar in the evening is so slow, I dread to think what peak season is like The pool area is cramped, with so many loungers together it's claustrophobic. The pools are small & more about the "instagram" look than enjoyable spaces But atleast there's loungers, cos when you pop to the beach they exploit you for more € by charging €12 per lounger (there's a cheaper guy along the beach) - I found this disgraceful for a "5*" hotel. There is no drink facility at the beach, so you either need to go up 106 steps to the hotel or to the pool bar. Many families struggled carrying buggy. The pool bar serves up half cups of coffee for €3.5 - again disappointing, you need to order 2 to get a normal coffee size The evening meal is 7-9 with small buffet area, it's overcrowded & makes it unenjoyable. Food was very samey but was nice. The hotel is soulless - no atmosphere, no charm, very robotic. It is definitely not 5* & miles behind hotels worldwide & no sign of 5* service. The evening singers were good despite losing their audience taking long breaks. Positives - beach is beautiful, food was good, it's clean - Ante, beach boy, Mihaela, Roko & the blonde young lady on reception were all lovely. I'd never stay here again & I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Which is the first time I've ever left a review like this. Thoroughly disappointing & overrated. Shame the Croatian entrepreneur sold it out to the Middle Eastern billionaire!

We are about to leave this superb hotel. The situation is stunning...quite a few steps but this kept us fit ! Food very good, an excellent selection is offered Sometimes main dish not as warm as we we would like. The concierge who was actively on call was excellent She welcomed us on day one and offered very helpful information relating to any questions or help that we needed throughout our stay. Our first time in Croatia and we cannot fault it or this excellent hotel.

This was our third visit and have booked again for October this year. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. You have Brela a lovely little village and a fantastic promenade walk up towards Jakirusa and then Baška Voda a bit more lively with a path onto Promajna. We have always enjoyed both the meal times and must especially mention the waiter Danjel for his happy enthusiastic service. If you have problems with walking up steps then from the main entrance there is a moderate sloping road down to Baška Voda. Also not far the other way is a Studenac supermarket on the same road.

Excellent hotel, large room, excellent food. The restaurant has a big seaview terrace Very nice sea view, quiet no animation in may ( a plus, for me) We'll be back next year. Be somewhat fit: 47 stairs from lift till pool, 54 more to the beach ( or take the road, )

Just returned from a 9 night stay. The hotel is located on the sea front but there are a lot of steps down to get to the beach so not suited to anyone with mobility issues. We stayed half board and really liked the breakfast being served over a long period (7 to 11am). Dinner was over a shorted period (7 to 9pm) which meant the restaurant was quite busy and the area where the buffet is located could get crowded. The food was plentiful with lots of different choices every night. Drinks at the hotel are a little expensive and include a 10% service charge even if you go to the bar to order and collect. €5.17 for a €1 bottle of water seems a big mark up. My partner is coeliac and food was generally well labelled and the chef offered to make Gluten Free pasta and pizza. There were limited options for dessert for her though and no separate toaster. It’s not yet high season so bear in mind not all the local bars and restaurants are open at this time of year. Lots of sun beds available by the pool, in fact given it’s not yet high season it might have been better to take some away to create a bit more space. The sea was cold but beautifully clear and we managed a few morning swims. Suggested improvements:- - The lights at the bottom of the steps to the sea front were only turned on for the last 2 days of our stay, prior to that we had to use our phone torches to avoid tripping when returning in the evening. - extend the dinner hours and / or rearrange the buffet for a better flow - tea and coffee making facilities are provided but not milk! When you ask at reception they give a little laugh and tell you to go the supermarket who just happen to sell small pots of milk (probably one of their best selling lines). For such a small cost I can’t understand why milk is not provided! Finally special thanks to Danijiel in the restaurant who worked every day while we were there, clearing tables and taking drinks orders. He was always very polite and liked to tell us of his favourite scenes from the TV show ‘Only Fools and Horses’!

Giving a star rating for this hotel is very difficult. The hotel looks very nice, our room was great, the staff were very helpful and when I ordered some extra items for our arrival (wine, flowers, cake and fruit) they did a perfect job. Also on the plus side is the coast path (at beach level) that runs to villages to the right and left of the hotel. The walks, particularly to the right hand side, were the best bits of our stay. It is a shame that there were so many things, that on their own may seem small, but add up to spoil things. Only one restaurant open and the food was only average most of the time. Evening meal time was restricted to between 7pm and 9pm and I wouldn't want to try to get food when the hotel was full because to layout of the serving area is so cramped. Water at the evening meal had to be bought. The one bar that was open was more like a canteen area and not a relaxing space for the evening. There was nowhere at the hotel to buy food during the day, or anything else at any time (no shop on site). The Jet2 information book was kept in a cupboard behind the reception desk along with the book exchange, (neither item of which we found out until the Jet2 rep came 5 days into our 7 night stay). There was a notice in the room stating that the fridge was only for minibar items and should not be used for guests items. To top it all, there was a 10% service charge on all (hotel price) drinks (including water at the evening meals) and a space on the bill to add a tip. I know there are warnings in the information before you book that it is about a one and a half hour transfer from the airport at Split to the hotel and that there are a lot (and I mean a lot) of steps on the site, but it is something to bear in mind.

Came for a short four day break and had a lovely time with my daughter such a beautiful place too visit and hotel was great with great sea views. Breakfast was a great selection and staff friendly. Would recommend. Just be advised there's quite alot of steps up and down to the beach and restaurants but worth it.
