## **An unforgettable holiday – Mirihi is exceptional because of its people** We have just returned from an absolutely wonderful holiday at Mirihi, and it is difficult to put into words how special this experience was for our family. Of course, Mirihi itself is beautiful. But what truly sets this resort apart is the team. Every single person we met was genuinely friendly, attentive and committed to making our stay perfect. We would honestly have to mention every employee by name, because everyone contributed in some way. Unfortunately, that would probably make this review far too long. However, there are a few people we would particularly like to thank. First and foremost, **Laafhan from Guest Relations** deserves a very special mention. We have never met anyone who takes care of guests with such dedication. He was always available, kept us informed and made sure that everything was taken care of. This became especially clear during our difficult departure, when the seaplanes were unable to operate as planned because of the weather. The situation was completely beyond the resort’s control, but Laafhan continued to support us, kept us updated and did everything possible to help. His professionalism, patience and genuine concern were exceptional. A huge thank you also goes to **Athif, Shaffan and Hussain from the restaurant**. They were always incredibly friendly, attentive and willing to go far beyond what would normally be expected. They made every visit to the restaurant feel personal and welcoming. And then there was the food: simply outstanding. **Wije, Felix and the entire kitchen team** did an amazing job. The quality and variety were excellent every single day. During our entire stay, there was genuinely not one day on which anything felt missing or disappointing. The food was consistently fantastic. Diving was another major reason why this holiday was so special for us. A particularly warm thank you goes to **Shuhrab and Samer from the dive centre**. To be completely honest, Shuhrab was one of the main reasons we changed our original plans and booked Mirihi after he moved to the dive centre there. My son Max and I completed our Advanced Open Water Diver course with him, and it was an absolutely first-class experience. Shuhrab is not only an excellent instructor, but also someone who creates confidence, enthusiasm and unforgettable memories underwater. Samer was equally welcoming and professional, and the entire dive centre made us feel completely comfortable. We also want to thank **Kirsten, the marine biologist**, who made our stay much more than just a beach and diving holiday. She invited Max and me to participate in coral measurements and coral maintenance, giving us a fascinating insight into the important conservation work being carried out around the island. Her different presentations every Monday evening were informative, engaging and clearly showed how passionate she is about the marine environment. Finally, we must ment

The resort is what you expect when you think about a Maldivian holiday: white sand, crystal clear water, colourful sunset and reef. V Villas are picture perfect. Service is very good, staff is super friendly and helpful. Food is great. Rooms/villas are big and comfortable. The spa has very good therapists and treatments. Excursions were great and even exploring the reef around the resort while snorkeling will let you see a whole set of marine life. We were very lucky and few days before our arrival we were told that in order to apologize for some renovation works going on we would be offered all excursions for free and it was a very good deal: the renovations in a remote area of the island were not even noisy or disruptive of the resort life..

The care and attention from every single member of the team was truly exceptional. The privacy, warmth, and dedication we experienced throughout our stay were simply impeccable. We would especially like to thank Carmen for such a wonderful welcome, and our buddy Lahfaan, who was always looking after us and making sure everything was perfect. A huge thank you to the entire restaurant and kitchen team—Shafan, Latheef, Felix, Ivan, Mohamed, Athif, and everyone else—for always greeting us with a smile and taking such wonderful care of us. Thank you as well to Lahey for the beautiful room decorations and for welcoming us every day with the biggest smile. To Kirsten, thank you for introducing us to the incredible underwater world surrounding the island. And a very special thank you to our divemaster, Shuhu, who spent countless hours underwater with us. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your amazing energy. We will never forget you! Life occasionally gives you extraordinary moments and unforgettable experiences, and V Villas Mirihi is one of those rare places. Not only because of its breathtaking beaches, but also because of its privacy, its peaceful atmosphere, and, above all, its incredible people. Now that we're back home, surrounded once again by the rush of everyday life, the city, and the concrete, whenever we think of a truly happy place, our minds immediately travel back to this island. It has become somewhere we will always want to return to, a place where we have left a little piece of our hearts. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon so unforgettable. And one last thing... spending a whole week barefoot is one of life's greatest luxuries!

We have just returned from our third trip to Mirihi and it was the best ever !! We were a bit concerned that the new renovations may have changed the 'relaxing vibe' of the island but there was no need as the new pool and the refurbished rooms were a very welcome addition. Furthermore they have been tastefully done and with no expense spared which has protected the authenticity of the island. The food as always was on a different level with so much choice and catering for all tastes albeit Felix and his fantstic team do not help your waistline. Breakfast follows a similar theme with bespoke egg stations expertly managed by the 'always happy' VJ !! The standout factor for us is that every member of staff from gardeners through to front of house ably managed by the always friendly Carmen and all customer facing staff can't do enough for you and just want you to have a fantastic holiday !! Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to detail is perfect. The bar expereience has also benefitted from the renovations with an improved sitting area in the evening and the service provided by Krishna is as always top quality. We stayed in one of the beach villas which was outstanding as was the service from our room boy Jameel who surprised us daily with his 'sand messages' on our entrance decking and his array of towel sculptures !! The introduction of a personal butler was a nice touch and made things easier to book and Viaam made the process easy. Additionally the free excursions due to the ongoing building works was a very nice thought although our holiday was not affected by these works in anyway whatsoever. Mirihi is without doubt our own personal paradise and we feel so privileged to have found such a special place in the Indian Ocean. We are already looking forward to returning next year. I booked Mirihi in July 2025 for our second visit to the island on January 19, 2026. At that time, the island's reopening was scheduled for December 1, 2025. A few months later, I wrote directly to the island again, and they replied that the opening had been postponed to the end of December. In December, worried, I wrote to the island once more, and they replied that the opening (soft opening) had definitively been moved to January 16 and that I could rest assured. Before my departure for the Maldives, I wrote two more times, and they always assured me that the opening would be on January 16. On January 11, we left for the Maldives to a neighboring island of Mirihi, where we stayed for the first week. On January 18th (the day before our transfer to Mirihi), as we were packing our bags for the island change, I received a call from our tour operator saying that Mirihi was not yet ready to receive guests and that we would have to choose another island. This was less than 24 hours before our arrival. What more can I say? Very disappointed.

We had a great time at Mirihi in February 2025. From the moment we landed we felt we would have a great vacation. I won't lie our priority is the reef but we love our food too! The chef is one of the best in Maldives! Every day the buffet was like a totally different menu. You never get bored and the quality is always superb! The reef is very extensive and the recovery of the corals is pretty good! We did a manta trip and we were very satisfied 😌 saw mantas and there weren't too many boats so was pretty calm experience! The diving center staff are very professional, thank you! We stayed in a water villa and eventhough are pretty basic we loved the rustic feeling, the only problem with the water villas is that is difficult to access the reef in low tide. If we go back we will make sure to take a beach villa! The Spa was great too but needs a reno , they told us that they will renovated it(Mirihi is closed now for renos). We had a great time and we looking forward to visit again 😀
