Outstanding

This hotel is conveniently located near the main ***** in downtown. There are lots of restaurants, bars and ports. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite. And if you visit beaches, it goes without saying just how convenient it is to have a laundry machine in your room. You can even enjoy an onsen on the top floor. But in my opinion it's better in the winter.

Amazing

The transportation is convenient, there is a bus to and from the airport nearby. There is a whole family within a 3-minute walk. There are many small shops to eat next to. There is a supermarket 10 minutes' walk away, with sashimi and cooked food abundant and cheap. As a chain hotel, the facilities are excellent. For diving enthusiasts, there is a washing area, and the cleaning of wet clothes and equipment is very convenient.

We stayed here for two nights out of the three nights we stayed in Miyakojima. All the hotels had washing machines in the rooms, so this may be the standard in Miyakojima, but it was helpful to have a washing machine in the room and a gas dryer on a different floor, although it was shared. We were going to go into the ocean, so there was a huge difference between going home without being able to do laundry and going home without doing it. We were given shaved ice as a welcome gift, and my daughter was happy. The hotel was right in the middle of the downtown area, so we found some delicious restaurants right away. If it wasn't a resort hotel, this was enough for our family. There were three beds, so we were able to sleep comfortably.

I've been using this hotel for about 10 years. The taste of the breakfast has deteriorated. I used to really like it, but now I think it's below average. I like the large communal bath, but there is still a lot of dust on the hair dryer outlet, which I pointed out but nothing has been done. The bath water is so lukewarm that you might catch a cold. When I called the front desk, they said they couldn't change the temperature. A few days later, it had risen by about 5 degrees, but why? I'm always drawn to the place and the way they treat me. I'm thinking of staying at another hotel.

The large public bath is on the top floor, and I stayed here for 5 nights, but there was no sign of the water being changed even once. The washing area may have been cleaned easily, but the bathtub was not. The tiles around the water surface of the bathtub were dirty with grime and dirt, and they were rough to the touch and could be removed by rubbing them. There was old dead skin (grime?) and human hair floating on the surface of the water. In the Okinawa region, there are many apartments and houses without bathtubs, so people don't really have the habit of soaking in bathtubs... but I wish they would be more careful about the water and dirt in the bathtub. It was a shame, as everything else was very good.

Miyakojima has very few bus services and they run independently of flights. This hotel also seems to have good access, but if you use the bus you will have to wait about an hour. The hotel is not organized well, probably because it has been a while since they had so many guests. They ask for a later breakfast time because they have a group, not just this hotel. I think it would be the other way around, since individual guests are more profitable. The room was a twin room for single use, so it was spacious and comfortable. There is a washing machine, microwave, and large refrigerator, so I think it is good for long-term stays. The front desk is on the second floor, and there is an elevator from the parking lot on the first floor, but there is no sign at the entrance, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs. It may be a bit unfriendly.
