For general information - The resort is famous as an onsen (2!) destination, with an attached convention center. All the spacious rooms overlook the ocean, golf course and pine forests. There are tons of restaurants with many different cuisines to choose from. This was our second visit to this beautiful resort - and our return trip is already planned. We were very warmly welcomed as Marriott Elite members with personal attentive care. Upon arrival we were immediately taken up to the Executive Lounge for check-in, and were able to relax and enjoy a beverage & snacks during the process. After check-in, Mr. Kawabata of the Executive Lounge personally escorted us to our upgraded suite and provided an overview of the various details to ensure a comfortable stay. The highlight of our visits was the Executive Lounge. The Lounge provides options for breakfast, afternoon tea service and snacks, and a wonderful cocktail hour selection of food and top-shelf drinks, including champagne! The Lounge is spacious, with plenty of seating areas and wonderful ocean views. While the Lounge itself is delightful, it is the Lounge staff who are the true stars! As mentioned, Mr. Kawabata went above-and-beyond to ensure that our stay exceeded our expectations. The entire staff in the Lounge are extraordinarily attentive and happily anticipated our requests with superb service. We have provided our feedback accordingly to hotel management. As a final note, breakfast in the Pine Terrace is an extensive buffet of western and Japanese choices, including a personalized egg station. Breakfast is also available in the Lounge where we also enjoyed the same level of service and the expansive views.
