Breakfast and dinner were a very special Japanese delight. You need to book in, for meals, the day before. As we didn't know this on our first night, they drove us to Lawson's convenience store to buy food as no restaurants in the area were open after 5pm. There was a lot of choice there and the hotel staff heated our food up when we got back. The onsens were lovely. Both an inside and outdoor bath available with lovely skin products available for use.

Absolute secret place Location: It is located at the high point of Iya Valley, surrounded by mountains and mist, like entering a fairyland. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to the urinary monk, don't miss it. Service: The hotel shuttle bus was booked in advance (JR Oboke Station). The driver was very considerate and stopped at the Iya Gorge Observation Deck to introduce and let us take pictures. Hot spring: It is very unique. You need to take a cable car to the outdoor hot spring, close to the Iya River, and the water temperature of 35 degrees directly out of the hot spring is very suitable for summer. Listening to the birdsong & the rushing river, looking at the green mountains & clouds, smelling the sulfur-smelling air, and immersing your body in the hot spring water, it is very comfortable and relaxing. Food: Breakfast and dinner are arranged with mountain delicacies, which are beautifully made and worth a try. Room: The layout is exquisite, and the bonus points are - audio equipment & ”Morning, Dusk, Night” CD, which makes people feel particularly soothing and very attentive. Service: Active and enthusiastic, you feel at home.

The advantage is that it is cheap and cost-effective, and it only takes three minutes to drive to Lawson. Disadvantages of not being able to know in advance when booking: 1. What I must give a negative review is that 90% of the water flowing out of the private hot spring faucet is cold tap water, not hot spring water. . . (Tested at 8 pm and 8 am, 90% is cold tap water; at 11 pm, 70% is cold hot spring water) The bathtub has a heating function. You need to press the heating button frequently to circulate and heat the old water. . This is probably why the price of this room type is relatively low (1,700 yuan for one room, two meals). Most of the hot spring hotels I've stayed in that cost more than 4,000 yuan can provide unlimited hot spring water 24 hours a day. A good comment is that when you check in, the hotel will put a basin of hot spring water for you in advance. The quality of this basin of water is the best I have ever soaked in. It is undiluted and as smooth as soapy water. Remember never to drain this basin of water no matter what. . . . See the reason above. Moreover, after you drain the entire basin of water and then add cold water to heat it, you need to wait for more than an hour before you can barely use it. 2. There is no bed, there are tatami partitions. You need to get the mattress from the closet and wait to make the bed. The room is relatively small. The two mattresses will take up one-third of the room, and the large table and chairs in the room will take up the other third, so there is limited space for moving around and placing luggage. 3. There is no bathroom in the toilet, only a toilet. You can only take a shower using the open-air shower on the balcony (the weather is cold at night in May). There are no shampoo, shower gel and other supplies in the room, only a bottle of soapy water. After asking the hotel staff, guests can borrow shampoo and shower gel in the lobby to use in the large public bath, but they are not allowed to borrow it into the room. 4. No river views. There is a very wide platform outside the balcony, which 100% blocks the Big Buwei Canyon and river downstairs. You can only see the mountains and trees on the opposite side, and you need to stick your head out to barely see the bridge and river in the distance. The variety of dinner is acceptable, the taste is good and fresh, but it is difficult to feel full. There is a glass of fruit wine. Breakfast is a buffet style, with more variety than dinner and also delicious. Service: During the day, there is an employee at the front desk who speaks good English and is responsible for check-in and boarding. His attitude is normal (compared to other one-stay, two-food hot spring hotels I have been to, it is relatively bland), and the process is fast. In the evening, the staff at the front desk and restaurant mainly spoke Japanese, and their attitudes were Japanese and very considerate. Hygiene: clean Sound insulation: The room is very quiet. You can hear the sounds next to you on the balcony, and the smell of smoke drifts over.

A very decent place to spend the night. It's very close to one of the vine bridges, which is light up at night sometimes. Take into account that there are VERY limited options to eat out in the area and everything closes at 17:00. It gets dark ans there may be wildlife on the road so driving can be dangerous. And the nearest facilities are far away. So if you want to eat, either make use of the meal options from the ryokan or bring your own bento's. The room was very nice and the bathroom/ toilet areas were clean. Please note that the stairs is quite narrow and steep which may bring a challengeto take a big suitcase upstairs. The staff was very nice and helpfull. With a bit of help from our phones we could communicate that which we did not understand in Japanese and/or English. They pointed out sights to see in the area and lend a flashlight to walk to the bridge at night.

The room are above the restaurant . You check in at the bar area. staff know limited english but they have preapred english instructions in advance . Room and toilet are clean. air con is strong. Basic toilet amenities provided.

Transportation: If you are driving by yourself, there is absolutely no problem. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to pick you up, but there seems to be only one bus. Special: There is an open-air bath in the hotel, and you can sit in front of the cable car, which is quite interesting. The dinner includes robata grilled fish, which is very flavorful, and the landlady will also sing a song for you. In the evening, an old-style bus will take you on a night tour of the Vine Bridge and Waterfall. Waiters are friendly and polite

Providing convenient access to Iya and Oboke areas as well as 4 Shikoku prefectures on account of its location right off from Awaikeda JR station, this hotel is complete with Wi-Fi and best suited for travel and business.

今次預訂了兩間房， 環境設施也很好，晚上九點後check in服務人員也很有禮，已經一早預備好房間鎖匙。 可惜只有 一個很少的浴池在大浴場。

The dinner was very delicious and the service was good. When the typhoon was encountered, I also contacted in advance to provide free cancellation. I forgot to prepare things for us. It is very quiet in the mountains and there are outdoor hot springs.

剣山に登るため利用させていただきました。 駅の目の前で最高のアクセスで、館内も割と最近リニューアルしたのか、とても綺麗です。 部屋はとても広く、ツインベッドにソファ付き。バスルームもよくあるユニットバスよりも広くてゆったり出来ます。大浴場は無くてもこのお風呂なら良いですね。部屋においてある湯沸かし器がデロンギなのにはびっくりしました。 朝食は6時30分から。少し急いで食べましたが、駅近なので6時52分の列車に問題無く乗れました。 もしまた来ることがあればまた利用したいと思います。
