Garten Hotel

The location near the beach provides easy access and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests praised the exceptional service, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast options. The modern facilities were also highlighted.

This hotel is absolutely a gem in El Zonte. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast in the morning by the ocean and drinks in the pool at night. The black sand beach is so pretty. The rooms were very clean and well kept.

We wanted to find a place on the beach near El Zonte with great views, not too touristy, and a boutique setting (ie a quiet hotel where we could really relax). We found the perfect balance at the Garten Hotel. We loved the perfect view of the beach and the sunsets from the hotel's main pool area were unmatched. There is just enough space for maybe 5-6 couples around the pool, and so we appreciated the quiet setting to relax and drink some delicious passion fruit margaritas at the poolside bar. The food at the in-house restaurant is excellent and you can also walk to get some legit homemade pupusas just down the road (10 min walk), which I still think about because they were so good. We ran into the owner, Bo, a few times, and he always made sure that everything was going well with our stay. The staff was extremely responsive and attentive to anything we needed, and this level of service was much appreciated. The beach access is super easy (just down some steps from the pool area) and there you will find the most amazing beach: super fine sand, clear water, no rocks, and amazing body surfing (or regular surfing!) on the perfect waves. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to El Salvador!
