Uzuri Kubo Huts

A fantastic hotel! We initially planned for a couple of nights, but ended up staying 4 nights in Moalboal because of this amazing place! The staff are wonderful, the breakfasts are good, there's a gorgeous view from the property, and the rooms are clean and cozy. We stayed in both a bungalow and a twin room; we actually preferred the twin room, it felt more spacious. I imagine a room on the second floor with a balcony would be even better! We didn't use the pool, but it was cleaned every morning! There's also direct access to the sea, which I bet is amazing during good weather. We were there in August, and the waves were quite big with constant wind.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It's a bit far from Pangasama and White Beach, but that's actually the charm of it. There's a fantastic reef right by the hotel, where you can spot turtles and interesting fish. Getting to the beach and shops by tuk-tuk was convenient. The food is local Filipino cuisine, which might not be for everyone 🤪

Beautiful location and lovely property. The pool is very pleasant. However, the included breakfast is really poor. The coffee is terrible because they just give you a sachet with hot water. They have a moka pot, but it costs extra. The orange juice is awful, it tastes like detergent. The staff are very kind and the cleaning is perfect. It's a shame about the owner, who gives you a dirty look for the slightest extra request. That's not acceptable… It's a real pity, they lose out on so much for a few extra pennies, just for some minor improvements in hospitality and customer offerings…

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful rooms, everything is tidy. Very nice sea view from the cafe. Great pool and lovely staff. It's located a bit out of the way, which ensures complete peace and quiet.

The advantage is that it's very quiet. The downside is that it's quite out of the way; at night, you definitely need to take a tuk-tuk back to the hotel, you can't walk on your own.
