I don't know if we were just unlucky or if the hotel is just like that: damp stains on the wallpaper, a glass with cigarette butts from the previous tenant on the window sill, and a bug in the breakfast... For the price of the triple room and the over €5 for the "simple" breakfast (coffee and toast with ham) and €8.5 for the buffet, I expected more. A notable point was the friendly service of the staff.

Hotel Camino is dated. Everything is clean with a well-functioning elevator. The rooms are spacious but without air conditioning. Located directly on the route/camino to Santiago de Compostela. The footpath runs across the street. Dark furniture in the rooms and the hotel itself makes it all a bit sad. Large statue of St. Jacob in the entrance of the hotel. Dogs are welcome for 5 euros per night. Friendly staff at the reception. The dining room is also a bit of a canteen for the local association.

Hotel de paso, en el que dormimos dos noches separadas, una a la ida y otra a la vuelta de un viaje al norte. También puede servir de base para un día o dos en Burgos, porque está relativamente cerca. De esos hoteles con ambientillo un poco viejuno, decoración con mucha madera oscura, y un olorcillo a aceite rancio en todas las zonas comunes (recepción, pasillos de las habitaciones...), como si la extracción de humo de la cocina tirara poco, o tuviera fugas. La habitación triple (una doble con cama supletoria) estaba bien. De las dos que estuvimos, por la disposición de las camas, mejor la de la segunda noche (por cierto, viendo a Marruecos eliminar a España del Mundial de Qatar). El baño también estaba bien, completo y de buen tamaño. Todo muy limpio. Y sin problemas para encontrar aparcamiento en el exterior del hotel. Como curiosidad, en la planta baja hay una especie de altar para los peregrinos del Camino. Y en la cafetería está Nico, que es un monstruo. El precio en diciembre de 2022 fue de 65 € a la ida y 58 € (quehoteles) a la vuelta. Mientras se mantenga en estos precios, es una opción bastante recomendable. Opinión publicada en julio de 2023.

Está lejos del centro de Burgos pero es una buena base para moverte por los alrededores . El suelo de nuestra habitación era de madera y hacía mucho ruido al caminar . Precio muy competitivo . Desayuno muy justo.

Somos un grupo de peregrinos haciendo el Camino de santiago, lo primero que destaca sobre todas las cosas del hotel es su personal, ROSA Y NICO son de las personas mas amables que he conocido, la comida excelente, pudiendo repetir todo lo que quisieras y el hotel sorprendente por su decoración de varios estilos, y mi habitación, con dos camas separadas y otra de matrimonio con un colchón perfecto. Sin lugar a dudas lo recomiendo y volveré seguro.
