"This time we went on a self-driving trip to the western United States, and stopped for a night in Kingman on the way from Grand Canyon National Park to Los Angeles. The hotel is in a good location and the facilities are relatively old, but the sanitary conditions are good. The decoration inside the store is themed after the nostalgia of Route 66, and there are many beautiful murals on the building."

"The location was perfect- looks right out on the London Bridge and Lake Havasu. There’s a nice walking/biking path on both sides of the river. Easy access (stairs) from the river to the street, across the bridge to the other side. Might be a bit tricky in a wheelchair - there’s an elevator at the Heat a hotel, but might be easier to drive across to the other side of the river and go down the steep path? Not sure - should be doable but would take longer. Javelina Cantina is very close.decent food, not good margaritas! (Skinny). The brew pub right next door and another restaurant we’re closed, but there were open restaurants across the river where you could dine outside (crap margs there too!). Anyway- hotel room is big, nice patio, nice folks at the front desk. Happy hour with nice outdoor seating. Boat docks out front, if you’re fancy like that. I thought it was a bit pricey, but for the location, chill factor, and views, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat!!"

"Wingate opened just a few months ago and offers modern rooms. Everything is still new and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious with ample storage for suitcases and clothes and are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker (including pods). The breakfast room is also spacious and comfortably furnished. Unfortunately, the buffet selection is somewhat limited and is based on the usual motel fare of sausages and scrambled eggs, cereal, and make-your-own waffles. The small pool at the rear of the building is attractively designed but is subject to the constant noise of the highway."

"Beware…Nasty nasty room! Carpet was filthy, walls were filthy. Bathroom filthy. Hair in shower. Used soap in shower. I had a smoking room but no ashtray. I asked for one but was told they don’t furnish I would need to go buy one. I went to Walmart and bought Lysol to spray bed, carpet, sink and countertop and the bathroom. Ice machine doesn’t work so you have to bring your own. Phone doesn’t work in room guess that’s why it’s in night stand drawer. Tablet and chair needs to be taken to trash ."
