On arrival we noted 2 very skinny, tattooed scruffy men exiting the hotel to stand and smoke outside. We returned after dinner to find a security vehicle parked out the front and two police officers exiting the elevator as we got in. The next day we saw one of the scruffy men smoking outside the hotel at about midday. I googled halfway houses and this hotel appeared on the search together with a couple of Christian charitable organisations. It is a pity because it is clean and looks like a new hotel. We slept with a suitcase against our door. We kept the curtains closed so the room next door on the diagonal couldn’t see in our room. I could see a person lying on the bed in that room. We didn’t have any trouble at the hotel, but we didn’t feel safe. The pillows are a disgrace, an outer ¼ filled with foam pieces (see the photos).

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Zimmer sind hell und modern eingerichtet und natürlich sauber. Die Klimaanlage ist ziemlich laut. Schaltet man sie aus und öffnet das Fenster-dann hört man das Geschrei der Möwen. Auch bei absoluter Dunkelheit. Frühstück ist überschaubar - warm gibt’s nur hart gekochte Eier. Das Hotel verfügt über keine eigenen Parkplätze. Man muss sich seinen Platz in der Umgebung suchen, was schwierig sein kann.

Sehr kleine Zimmer - aber sauber, Lage macht Sinn, wenn man an Uni oder in der Nähe zu tun hat. ABER: Das Zimmer riecht merkwürdig nach irgendeinem chemischen Reiniger. Und - mit offenem Fenster schlafen geht nicht, da ein großer, ortsansässiger Schwarm Möwen irrsinnigen Krach macht, fast die ganze Nacht. Und die Klima war auch zu laut zum schlafen. Das ist in anderen Zimmern ebenso der Fall wie Kollegen sagten und war wohl auch die letzten Jahre das gleiche. Zum Startzentrum sind es ein paar Kilometer, aber nicht schlimm. Wenn man die Stadt zu Fuß erkunden möchte, sollte man aber eher was anderes wählen. Frühstück war ok, alles da, was man braucht. Direkt gegenüber steht aber auch ein guter kleiner Bäckerimbiss ;) Ich werde das Hotel nicht mehr wählen.
